"Weeeellllp, let's go get an aerial perspective. I'll be back down if I see somethin' out of the ordinary."

Stomp on the sidewalk, create a loose platform of rubble about three feet by 1 foot, and levitate it about three hundred feet above the ground. Take a swift reconnaissance of the neighborhood.
"No, Don't! you'll blow away our element of surprise!"
Gerald would be panicing as he sees the hero try to take off. this was not a good thing at all!

((I know this is kind of "knowledge the character couldn't possible know but proves they're wrong" but three hundred feet up is a little hard to see, especially if you aren't looking for it and even more especially if you're an instinct-driven monster. :P))

BE also spreads his own (dark, tattered-looking) wings.

(it's not the height that matters, it's the takeoff. a moving object on the horizon is going to be much more noticeable. and since they have to pass the horizon in order to get above anything...)
"Have you all suddenly lost your minds?! We're going to be spotted for sure at this rate!"

((Still hard to see,
especially if you aren't looking for it and even more especially if you're an instinct-driven monster.
Plus, there's a chance that a building is in between them and the monster and blocks its (unintelligent, instinct-driven) line of sight until Cal is high up.))

BE makes an upset noise.

"KeeeYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"  Literally Unlimited Minions shouts, finishing his Incantation and releasing a bright pillar of light into the air as the metamagics take guidance over his spells.

Gerald just sighs, and facepalms. half of him wants to taze 70% the group for being moronic, and the other half of him just wants to go back to bed and troll people on his laptop.

Gerald just sighs, and facepalms. half of him wants to commit assault because he doesn't agree with what others are doing and this upsets him to the point of physical violence, and the other half of him just wants to shirk his duties as a hero and waste his (and others') time making inflammatory remarks for the express purpose of upsetting others, which pleases his deeply troubled self somehow.
BE walks up to Gerald and gently pays him on the head.

(FTFY, you can troll without saying a single word. Trolling is a broad, and sometimes greatly amusing pastime.)

((actually the term originates from fishing, Trolling is merely using bait to "Fish" for a response, usually negative. for the express purpose of upsetting them for your amusement.))

((yes but the point was it does, in fact, involve making inflammatory remarks intentionally, which disproves DH's point, and trolling is stupid, why would a trained hero ever do it??))

((Ring of Gyres, a philosophical argument used by some old guy who said if you could become invisible and anonymous, you would have less reason to act just in a just society, trolling on the internet amuses someone without them having to face the consequences of what they have done, and for the most part, it has very little consequences.))
