He would seem nonchalant about BE hugging him, though he would be mentally waiting for the lizardman to let go.

BE is delighted and Gerald is immediately accosted by large amounts of lavender lizard. The hug is... actually not that bad, if indeed a little tight.

While looking for intel, as you put it, in the field, you did find something quite interesting.

Or rather, someone. A Mysterious Being, to be precise, a green, bipedal lizard wearing several pieces of what looked like discarded armour, with a line of quite sharp spikes running down it's back. It looked just a tad out of your league at the time, and besides, it didn't seem to be hurting anyone quite yet, so you returned to the rough area the other heroes were in for backup.

It may have been a good idea to mention that to the others by now, actually...
