Let me break it down for you. I sent an IC message to the awebringer asking for his aid. The reason I chose Awebringer, is because IC I know what he wants, and am willing to give some of it to him. He agreed to my offer. All perfectly IC and legitimate. (also, due to my horror's inhuman perspective, since she didn't actually manage to do any damage, she views the thing as no harm no foul and doesn't expect the other party to hold any grudges over it) Other horrors are actually more likely to ask me for something I don't want to pay.

I would like to note that I have also ignored a message from someone else who wanted to help because (in-character) A) I was suspicious of how he had noticed the attack, he was probably spying on me B) He would likely ask for concessions I didn't want to give and C) I was probably going to be fine with the Awebringer's help.
