Name: The Roach

Gender: Dirt

Age: 65

Appearance: A thin, scruffy man, encrusted with dirt and grime. His grey hair and beard are long and greasy from decades without a shower, so much so that his hair sticks in place when he takes off his beanie. He tends to wrap himself in a long coat and scarf, brown with dirt, with fingerless gloves covering his hands. He's surprisingly healthy for his lifestyle of choice, and sports a lean, muscular build under his dusty clothing, with some bolts in his side being the only indicator of cybernetics.

Race: Physically resembles a human, but is actually a high-tech Cyborg.

Alignment: As neutral as brown dirt.

Motivation: He has no motivation.

Profession: Hobo

Goal: Be left alone

Personality: A very relaxed person to say the least. He has seen a lot, and would rather like to drown most of it in a beer, if he could get drunk, anyway. He's basically something of a hermit and a doormat. Don't mess with him, you won't ever notice him.

Gear: A long, heavy coat, a beanie, and heavy boots. He has on him at the moment a few cans of beans and a bottle of whiskey, and a cart to carry interesting things he finds in the trash. Concealed within his coat, he holds a machete, if necessary to protect himself.

Stats: (You get 5 points to distribute all stats start at 1 point,2 points are average. 1 point is below average and 0 points gives you a disability of some kind.)

Muscles: 3
Grit: 2
Athletics:3
Will: 2
Smarts: 1
Charisma: 0

Skills: Scavenging from trash, blending with the environment, and fighting dirty.

Cybernetic Implants:

Artificial Stomach: Removes toxins from poisoned and spoiled food.

Nanobot reserve: located on the stomach, the nanites are released from the valves on his side, repairing any damaged tissues and keeping the body in peak condition.

A wandering hobo that's unable to get himself drunk? You're IN.

The higher a roll is, the less terrible the disability is.

For Narbo Porno, I mean Polo, I rolled a [94] on a will-based disability. Narbo has Clinical Depression, every now and then he feels serious guilt and self-remorse, which can temporarily lessen Narbo's skills depending on the results of a willpower check.

For Verminus Thrax, I rolled a [6] on a will-based disability. Verminus has several different voices in his head, unfortunately, they are all psychotic, and rarely Verminus will have to roll a willpower check to resist their temptations.

I rolled a [14] on a charisma-based disability. Verminus was afflicted with a horrible skin-eating disease as a small child. Thanks to his Enhanced Tissue Regeneration, he survived but has Severe Facial and Bodily Scarring, giving Verminus a penalty to most Charisma rolls, unless he is sufficiently covered somehow.

For Verminus Thrax, I rolled a [97] on his Enhanced Tissue Regeneration. Verminus has an Immensely Powerful Immune System along with his Enhanced Tissue Regeneration, giving him a massive bonus to resisting most mundane diseases.

For Verminus Thrax, I rolled a [71] on his Night Vision Lens. Verminus is slightly more likely to gain cataracts on his right cornea later in life, but for now this has no effect on his vision, whatsoever and the Lens functions properly.

For Verminus Thrax, I rolled a [83] on his Hand Vulcan. Verminus's Hand Vulcan is a little rusty and a few parts need oiling, but the Hand Vulcan is service worthy for now.

For Dirt, I rolled a [46] on a charisma-based disability. Dirt has a Slight Stuttering Problem, normally this has no effect but under certain situations it can be negative.

For Dirt, I rolled a [56] on his Artificial Stomach. Dirt's Artificial Stomach occasionally clashes with his Very Strong Immune System and he has to roll for Grit and Will to avoid vomiting, although this happens rarely.

For Dirt, I rolled a [44] on his Nanobot Reserve. Dirt's Nanobot Reserve functions properly but it requires a lot of nutrients to work, Dirt has to eat much more than a typical Human, or his Nanobots might get a little rowdy with his insides.

For Rocco Coleman, I rolled absolutely nothing, he's good to go.

I'm sorry if this was a little incoherent, I just need to write this before I start the game. The rolls weren't too bad, but inaluct bombed his disabilty rolls, although the RNG made up for it with lucky mutations rolls.

Turn One

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Trading Town of Olenberg, Named after it's now deceased founder, Olen, many travelers who come up the highway stop to partake of home-brewed Alcohol, an actual Bed, and even crude dirt Walls. Things have been relatively quiet, but recent rumors of an Old Rush in the East have brought in many more travelers than you'd normally expect. Olenberg is somewhere near the central part in the ancient land of Merca, in the wide open Plains where only a little Radiation Plagues the landscape. Olenberg is a relatively small settlement, with only 400-500 People permanently residing there, the majority of the citizens make a living Ranching various livestock animals on the grass but a few somehow manage to feed themselves with agriculture. The 'Town' is almost entirely made out of sod huts, but a few scrap metal shacks are here and there.

The main attraction of the place is the 'Loose Screw', a local Bar/Trading Post owned and operated entirely by Olen Jr, a small, agreeable little Robot that knows how to make solid whiskey out of corn. Olen was the mechanic that cobbled together Olen Jr and decided to found the Town, sadly, he died during a butter churning accident, leaving Olen Jr to operate on some very loose protocols with an AI, that is, at best, patchwork. Olenberg doesn't really have a set of Laws but they do have a Sheriff, and the people pride themselves on it's large dirt walls and, most importantly, the pulley-operated gate that Olen made before his passing. Almost twenty travelers pass through daily, coming from several 'Kingdoms' in the North-West, trying to get East before the Old Rush dries up. They are, for the most part, Human, but a handful of oddballs come in occasionally.

A few Merchants have set up stalls in the Town square and several Travelers and Townsfolk are there, browsing their goods. In the Bar, roughly a dozen Travelers are doing their best to stimulate the local economy at the expense of their Livers and Valuables. Four of these Travelers are especially noteworthy...

OK Guys, choose one starting location, the Bar or the Town Square, it doesn't really matter which, If you want to seek out other Players they shouldn't be that hard to find, just Role-play and the Adventure Hook will present itself. Let me know what you think.

I believe The Roach would be in the Town Square, sleeping in a box by a huge hill of garbage by the bar.

Coleman starts in the bar, always keeping an eye on his bottle of disinfectant to make sure some poor fool doesn't try to drink it or anything.

Verminus Thrax sits at the bar, drinking watered down corn whiskey through a straw poked through the bottom of his mask. The voices are a little quieter right now, as long as he actively concentrates on not thinking about them and keeps drinking whiskey.

Turn Two

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe The Roach would be in the Town Square, sleeping in a box by a huge hill of garbage by the bar.

The Roach is currently sleeping in a comparatively comfortable box right next to the Town Dump, a few rats are currently sharing the box with him, but The Roach doesn't particularly care.

The Roach hears knocking on the side of the box and partially wakes up to see a slightly chubby man with a handlebar mustache looking down at him. "Hello Stranger! My name is Daniel Rogers and I desperately require some help guarding my Caravan, You look like you can handle yourself out there. You see, I am not skilled nor equipped enough to deal with the wastelanders out there. You understand I'm giving you a job offer, right? It'll pay well, I promise. C'mon, I need the help." The Roach gets a slight headache from Daniel's incessant chattering.

Nardo starts in the bar. He's playing darts.

Narbo, or Nardo, whichever, is sitting in the bar, throwing darts at a target, a small plank of wood nailed to the wall. [3+4+2=9] His throwing is skillful but he's a little off of his game. A few drunk Caravan employees laugh at this, but they soon stop and get back to their card game. Except for one, a very tall man whose face reminds Narbo of an Ape's, "Hey, You, My gramma can throw darts better than that, and she's dead! Ha!" He's obviously drunk and looking for a fight, but maybe there's a better way to handle this.

Coleman starts in the bar, always keeping an eye on his bottle of disinfectant to make sure some poor fool doesn't try to drink it or anything.

Coleman is sitting on a bar-stool, observing the patrons. A one eyed old man attempts to grab his bottle of disinfectant but is dissuaded by a piercing stare, that, and he noticed the label. Olen Jr, a small humanoid robot with four spindly arms and a security camera for a head drifts over. It speaks through a small modified radio compartment in a somewhat staticky voice, "Hobzztdy Stranbzztger, cabzzt I bzztnterest you in  a bzzt-ink?"

Verminus Thrax sits at the bar, drinking watered down corn whiskey through a straw poked through the bottom of his mask. The voices are a little quieter right now, as long as he actively concentrates on not thinking about them and keeps drinking whiskey.

Verminus Thrax sits at the bar, enjoying some watered-down corn whiskey. [15-4+2=13] He manages to zone out enough that the Voices don't bother him but all of the stares he's getting from Townsfolk manage to do more than enough of that. Tear their Flesh from their Bones... Suck the Marrow... Order some actual whiskey you milk-drinker... The Voices do manage to make themselves heard though.

"Your gramma must've been very skilled. My condolences. I don't suppose it runs in the family?"

Throw another dart.

I stretch myself, cracking my back, then popping my neck and knuckles. Now fully stretched, I pull out a cardboard box, and write on it with... stuff. It reads:"Will work for food. Spoiled or rotten food okay. NO TALKING."

Yes... the marrow... the precious marrow... Wait, no, shit.

The voices are quieter and less insulting today, so Verminus Thrax is aware enough to notice the stares he's getting. He stands up from the bar, careful not to disturb the bendy straw going from his mask to the bottle of watered down whiskey, and begins making his way outside of the tavern, passing by the belligerent argumentative man-ape and the scrawny guy with the swords. It is time to seek out gainful employment.
