I read the first posts and immediately realized what I was doing wrong.

Well, I guess I'll use this for that game I'm never going to learn to code, but will always want to.

Edit:Fixed it! Should seem less like a semi-cleaned up wall of text, feel free to continue yelling at me. Also, I dropped attributes, skills, and anything involving levels, and am instead going to play it by ear.

Yeah now that you mention it that would be a pain to track, and I'm horrible with spreadsheets

Edit: Basically, no skills and attributes. I think I'm still going to do stuff with a d20, but that might change. I'm just waiting for character sheets at this point.
