Honestly, Literally Unlimited Minions has a very murky alignment.  Any thoughts?  He only wants power, but will invariably pick the most "Lawful Good" way to obtain it out of a misguided(?) idea that simply being good ensures overall success.

Probably closest to True Neutral, weighing Neutral Evil. They don't really give much of a damn about other people's lives and only want the path to power. The thing keeping them out of evil is that they're not actively acting to fuck people over and will fight to protect others if means power. It's hardly 'Good' if he has an ulterior motive behind it, but it's not 'Evil' either.

Not really. He does have a singular goal and is willing to fall in line with the heroes, as opposed to Chaotic Neutral, which would just want to mess shit up for both good and evil, to hell with the consequences and would be closer to a wild card.

BE is Chaotic Neutral, in that he doesn't care who he has to kill in order to hug someone

True neutral it is, since he wouldn't take advantage of people in any particularly malicious manner because he suspects it to be a massive pitfall later on.  Killing a civilian or ally might get him sweet demon powers, but then he has the whole damn hero alliance on his arse, no help from other villains reliably, and potential consequences from the source of his newfound power.  it is just the most logical way to gain what he wants in his mind, with any other route being doomed to failure.

He is good in deed, and neutral in intent, since a desire for power isn't necessarily evil, especially since he has stated to want it to no end but self improvement and notoriety.

The only reason I'm saying he's closer to Evil is that there is the implication he WOULD dick someone over if it was the logical path to power. You can't really claim to be a good guy if all you actually care about is gaining power. At most, you'd be a nominal hero

Well I suppose it fits the theme I set out to do in the first place, he helps/is in the union because he thinks of heroes as being the most powerful of beings in the end of any altercation.  He has seen plenty of powerful summoners get their butts kicked in by heroes after all.
