Now now, Roman gods have plenty of room for contrite and amusing names.

For instance, we could name this object Cloacina, because it lives in the shittiest part of the solar system.

If we are to reenact the plot of Avatar, I shall volunteer to be the first bad caricature into human space

But what would all of our hearts do without you being a bad caricature down here on Earth?

That gets me thinking. Would we limit ourselves to gods with an origin in Latium or do others, from different cultures, that got adopted into the pantheon later?

If the latter, I'd like to recommend Endovelicus, god of Public Health and Safety.

Roast marshmallows, make bad names for new elements like Whereswaldonium?

I like the one that's the God of sewers more, since it's at the end of our solar system in more ways than one

No, we should reserve that name for an artificial satellite constructed in venus orbit. ;)

Only if it is a binary gas giant, with incestuously tight shared barycentric point of rotation, with chaotically orbiting satellites.

(then one is Caligula, and the other named after his sister.)

Man, there are some factual errors in that article:

Quote
The solar system doesn’t often change. The only recent addition was Pluto, which was found in 1930 and spent most of the 21st century as its most distant and smallest planet
