Dibs on the first marksdwarf you make. Not hunter though, but an actual soldier. *cough* And I'd like a 3x5 smoothed ore-less gem-less room please. It should look like this:

code:

#####   B = Bed
#C.F#   C = Cabinet
#.B.#   F = Coffer
#...#   S = Statue or Gem window. Preferably
#.S.#   Clear glass  :)
#...#
##d##

Do all this, and my dwarf shall reward you with never ending servitude. Plus a guaranteed 1 demon slaying.

But what do I know?
Everything I say should be taken with atleast 1 tsp. of salt, and another liter of Dwarven Wine is recommended.

"I thought it was the size of the others!" said Vanon. "I guess it was just standing further away!"

I have been playing for a mere 10 seconds, when  :(!)

 :(

EDIT: seeing as how some mechanic/brewer/cook/somethingelse isn't putting much effort in her job (claiming to be "on break"), Eiba has been drafted in to the lines of Brewing, in order to decrease our tiny supply of food in favor of a supply of drinks.

More good news, the entrance hall has been completely dug out (so far, Gaulgath is a proffesional miner while Aseh is an expert miner), and so work on the bedroom area has been initiated.
Sadly, Shzar the carpeneter sure has been taking his (yes! his! the first male I notice in this amazonian fortress) time making Eiba a bed, it seems like even when the living halls have been dug out, Eiba will still sleep on an uncomfortable hard floor.

Oh noes! The caravan has arrived but have nowhere to unpack their goods!

Also, they have no goods to purchase!

A Trade depot has been ordered, but we'll have to see how things turn out eventually.

:)  (And a drowning chamber right next to it)

Psht. Men.

And engraving images of demons already? I seem to be a pretty awesome dwarf...
Wait, does this mean that I like Demons for their terrifying features? That would be pretty cool.

I hope I didn't die in that cave in! (And I hope Shzar did- rocks are really hard. Lazy men...)

EDIT: going through everyone in the fort, it seems like Shzar is indeed the only male in the fortress. Which probably makes him in rather high demand ^_^

You will notice that I'm building all those beds to fit two...  ;)

You're right, they proably mean the aged beef when they refer to "decay"   :)

Look at the other definitions of the word as well as the first.

–noun
1.   the act or process of falling into an inferior condition or state; deterioration; decay: Some historians hold that the fall of Rome can be attributed to internal decadence.
2.   moral degeneration or decay; turpitude.
3.   unrestrained or excessive self-indulgence.

See? Referring to food, it's a compliment.
