Ehm, there are two players on Earth now, which one are you after? BTW, I'm open to cooperation.

I'll get it sorted once I'm home, if you can bear waiting a touch longer.

By the way an info for all players. While originally i thought orders to be sent via pm this is also fine. in any case i presume that all of you are mature enough not to cheat and look at others peoples orders without their consent.

Should it turn out that this becomes a problem i will throw out the offenders. Not a threat just a disclaimer, since the issue has come up repeatedly of people being concerned about that. If you feel like sending your orders via pm instead i am also fine with that although that  makes things more complicated

EDIT: Also, while i tried to balance things it might be that you notice that some things are overpowered (combat drop for example) if thats the case feel free to infor me, im still trying to balance things out and some rules might become subject to change for better game balance.

I'm surprised at Datum Earth's strategy so far.

Certainly isn't how I'd be playing them, at least. :P

Underestimated the power of China's conscripts, and only just realized Whiteshields are amazing.

You mentioned Orbital Drop being overpowered (which it is, as it works currently, though it can be vaguely compensated for); will you be reducing it to a +1 bonus at some point in the future?

And how does combat aboard ships/Board work/accomplish?

And, uh...I feel like right now it's just a game of numbers, since it's so easy to move troops around in vaguely similar regions, and outnumbering someone more than is necessary to win does absolutely nothing. (20 Regular Regiments attacking 10 Regular Regiments will take the same casualties, in absolute terms, as 50 Regular Regiments attacking 10 Regular Regiments. Since all battles are effectively 1v1, for defending, as long as you still have manpower, having fortresses larger than Small at most is inefficient(although a single Indomitable Fortess is still useful)) While I don't know if the way it was before actually would have made a difference, it doesn't matter at the moment whether you control every inch of a region's borders and are sending troops from every direction at once, or are trying to force that same massive army through a tiny (presumably fortified) pass.

Logistics chains is abstracted away to nothing, and space battles are also numbers, except a bit more random/tactical-y because of the battle actions.

I don't know if that's what you were going for (space seems fine, at least, because while it's fairly straight numbers at base, actions make it interesting), but ground battles seem like they could use some tactics, though I know that could get excessively complicated. Not trying to criticize, mind you, I know it can come across like that. Just trying to point it out; running this seems like it takes a lot of time, and the flavor you use/add to the battles is pretty good in itself.

...What do you mean, I'm only bringing it up because the Miner's Collective seems terrifyingly powerful if it's entirely numbers? Don't be ridiculous.

I didn't say Orbital Drops are overpowered it was mentioned as an example ;P

As it stands it is strong as the game progresses however other things will come into play which migitate it.

As for boarding: Total Strength of the Boarders +1d6 vs. Total Ship and Ferried Troop Strength +1d6

It is a game of numbers, but so is Risk or Axis and Allies or Age of Diesel by Haspen. When it comes down to it most of the forumgames are games of numbers.

And yeah at the moment there is not much to do with Ground Battles. That has two reasons: for one Space Battles are supposed to be more important and secondly because not all features have been unlocked (oh i love it that i can say that XD)

I figured it would be something like that. Good to know, though.

And yeah, numbers isn't a bad thing, I was just wanting to make sure it was meant to be that.
