Yes, right on it!
...
Err, wait...

Wow... Err... you mean I didn't make a safety bridge on my spiffy waterfall detour path?

...

Oops. My sincerest condolences...
Can't even make a tomb because the body's gone... Heh...

Well, I hereby name this new bridge in Grek's honor:

For the record, both the war dogs following Grek, one of their puppies, a random kitten, a mule and a horse were all washed into the water with Grek... only Grek died... (Way to swim, Grek...)

Let's look back on the accomplishments of the late Grek.
Here he is, standing on a statue:

Oh, Grek...

Here's what Grek managed to engrave before he died, as well as the irrigation system he set up with his mechanical skills:

Not shown: The crafts he made were used to trade for five plump helmets, some leather, and a bit of cheese...

He was also in charge of training the war dogs, providing an invaluable boost to the fortress' defenses.

In other news, I've played an awfully long time without much happening... except... Grek...

^^^
That's what I was in the middle of writing (saved in MS word) when my computer crashed trying to crop a picture of the full fortress...

... Now, that's wouldn't really be a big deal if I had actually saved the fortress... ever... Truth be told, I hadn't closed Dwarf Fortress since I started this and so...
It's gone...
...
I figured I might as well post this much... I do have a picture of the fortress at the end, with 21 immigrants charging the front gates... I'm uploading it as is, seeing as how cropping it killed my computer last time, so you can see what was accomplished...

I actually dug out a huge amount thanks to Slatibartfast who became legendary incredibly quick... in contrast lazy Cerj seemed to not want to progress past (profesional) and so was really slow and useless...

I'd been chasming catfood since I found the chasm, but there had been no attacks, and considering industry was moved inside shortly after the last update, there wasn't much in the way of drama... except... Grek...

I'd be willing to start a new one of these... tomorrow or perhaps later... but if someone else wants to, that's fine too.

(That map is taking forever to upload, understandably so... I'll post it later...

Eh, it didn't work... oh well...)

Dispite the fact that he carried a rather large axe, Jimmy J panicked and ran away screaming along with Grek...

Yeah, that sounds like me... I'm relieved that I got away all right  :)

But what do I know?
Everything I say should be taken with atleast 1 tsp. of salt, and another liter of Dwarven Wine is recommended.

"I thought it was the size of the others!" said Vanon. "I guess it was just standing further away!"

Sure, I'm in for the second one.  Whatever job needs doing, but I'd like a second shot at being a miner.

I posted this same thing on the other guy's rpg thingy, unless anybody minds i would like to be in both...

Make me a miner please. I enjoy spending countless hours deep in uncharted territory, just repeatedly swingin' my pick axe .
And....... If it's not too much to ask......
I would like................................
2 Chest
1 Container
1 Armor Stand
1 Weapon Rack
1 Decent Bedroom
1 Decent Office
1 Dining Room

And that's it...
Oh wait I also need two meager bedrooms.............For my hoes. You need to keep your hoes happy!!!!!

Of course I am only kidding, but I would appreciate it if I was a miner.
