The story of Udilrodim 'Lanternwaded'

Slate 15th
So, it looks like were all here, not too many supplys but enough. Strike The Earth!
i quickly tell the woodcutter to chop trees and the herbalist to gather plants, and the miners to begin to dig a shelter
once they finish up, i begin to get the workshops put in there place... mechanics... still... carpenters.. masons... met- oh no. i didnt.... yes, i did. I forgot the fliping anvil! well then, it'll just have to wait

OOC: this is my first story, so if it gets boring.. im sorry...
Also, if you want to be DORFED, just ask! ill dorf you when a dorf is open to be renamed

Ok, first, get those bridges set up reg! and then miners, yes, both of you, dig out a lever room and a nesting area.
once the bridges are set up we can use them to be able to cut the fortress off the stairwell when needed... oh hurry up with the mechanisms reg! its been a day and you only got 2 done! OLON! why are you not freaking hunting! for goodness sakes! we need to get more food supplys!

Summer has arrived, the miners are busy digging, living quarters have been carved out, but we havent installed or made beds and doors yet... Anyways, were doing good so far, Olon is hunting and has gained us more bone, which we make him more bolts from, and our food is inside, with the cats preventing rot, hopefully we will have some poults soon as well! all is good in the neighborhood
OOC: no comments on how im doing? please dont tell me im doing bad >_>

We found a cavern. And we also got a wave of migrants a few days ago, Iden, one of the migrants, made a masterwork as well, but its a little dissapointing, it depicts a magma man... I absolutely DETEST magmamen! for goodness sakes Iden! im going to dump that in magma sooner or later!

5-10-20
due to a lot of work needing to be done, i stopped logging for a while, so resuming. We recently breached a new cavern, and tamed some naked mole dogs and two cave crocs. i also told the miners to dig an exploritory pattern on one layer so we can clean it of ore.

If your looking for some poor souls to dorf I will volunteer.  You can stick me in the next migrant wave if you prefer.  The name is Trappington of course, and if I could be part of the militia or a hunter that would be great, though I would also settle for a metal smith.

And by the way, you are doing great.  I really like the screen shots.

Recently, our animal trainer, 'Trappington' tamed a two cave crocodiles, people have been calling him a croc lover because he hangs around with the crocs so much, so, yea, but still, crocodiles make good egg layers! anyways, i have no idea where he got the nickname, he just showed up with it, but i do thank him, hes going to have a nice quarters later

The miners have finished the exploratory pattern, i've told them that all gems must be mined
Someone let one of the crocs forget some of its training, at least its caged up, we also started training a giant toad so we cant hopefuly breed them, they seem to like to attack other pests

oh my god... the miners.. they found the fabled metal.. Adamantine!! i can wait to use it in some weapons, the stuff is extremely light but extremely sharp
ok... elves showed up, we locked them in the trade depot, i here them banging on the other side of the wall
