Hey Guys!

In the new patch (42.05)
I don't have a screenshot, but if you are a hearthperson, and you ask for "duty" you can get quest agreements now (like proper kill quests, instead of just faction specific annoy the enemy quests) , also killing bandits is more obviously recognized now, you become a "defender of the helpless" according to people when you kill bandits. (which is awesome)
To become a hearthperson or bandit lieutenant, kill something or someone, and tell the lord/commander about it then ask and they will then accept you as a hearthperson/lieutenant. (bandit commanders appreciate when you rob people for them love it when you kill lords,  and give kill quests, lords give you  kill quests aswell),
Once you have successfully joined the faction , request "duty" from the lord/commander, and most of the time you will get a quest agreement.
I even got quests from a bandit leader when i joined the bandits. huzzah. Interestingly enough he gave me a quest to kill a hill titan.
NOTE! when you join bandits you are now automatically recognized as "brigand" so be careful.

Microsoft edge on windows 10 sucks, it makes almost entire forum posts disappear sometimes, which is why I use chrome.

I just got fame from killing a criminal under a town while fighting my way to the surface after exploring the tunnels under a temple.

The fame was enough to become a hearthperson and upon asking for a duty I was told to go kill a cyclops.

I expected to be told about some bandits or some shit...

After taking out a couple of Rocs I learned that he added in a message for that type of fame.

"A legend here? Blah blah blah [TRANS:NAME], etc. Are you stalking a dangerous beast?"

Neat! Another one is For killing bandits you become a "defender of the helpless" now all we need is a specific reputation for hunting down night creatures...

When I was sent after a zombie ogre they added "Enjoy the hunt!" to the end of the duty assignment message.

Yeah, I feel like adventure mode has gained back the sort of satisfaction that it lost in 40.x now. If only it was easier to tell the difference between bandits and random townspeople. . .

Yah, it'd be nice if groups maybe had particular symbols or logos on their clothing that would identify them. Those group harassment quests always drove me crazy.

Not the townspeople, but the guards and soldiers, and those are the ones who should be wearing uniforms. If they can't have a fully standardized uniform, they have to have at least one piece with an emblem identifying themselves, so you can tell these guys walking around armed apart from raiders and mercenaries.
