Blind cave ogres.

They're actively lured in by (and therefore temporarily partially disarm) traps with furniture bait; they're useless; and when they aren't getting caged instead of the critters I want, they're killing the critters I want. They move in packs (making them worse than trolls) and aren't restricted to evil environments (making them worse than ogres).

I went to all the trouble to make webbed cage traps to catch a tasty crab-based forgotten beast but this fucking pack of blind cave ogres killed it - and then ran into the webbed cage traps, so I have to re-web them for the next one. GAH.

(Keas ain't shit, they're easily defeated by traps underneath a low ceiling.)

Yep, keas are mine.
Monkeys are bad too, but they tend to be far less common. Also at least they have hands with which to steal all my shit.

That's a nice idea, but I think being able to tame the true final boss would be a bit game-breaking.

As for me, I've never had much of a problem with keas. I mean, they do steal from me from time to time, but I barely pay attention to it. At the moment, my disdain is reserved for two creatures: fire imps and badgers. Though the latter aren't ever really much of a problem, I always get a little anxious whenever one becomes enraged and skulks around the entrance to my fort.

No, I mean if I lived in a fantasy world, and I called another humanoid race a 'creature', it would be offensive. For instance, if a goblin peacefully lives in a human hamlet amongst humans as a tailor, the goblin would probably be offended if you call him a creature (unless you are intentionally calling a goblin a creature to denounce their race).

Whereas in a fantasy world, calling a blind cave ogre a creature is much more understandable.

For instance, you ask others about troubles with 'beasts'. They won't say, the human, goblin, elf or dwarf Carl has been harassing us etc..

No... "we are all God's creatures" and similar wording was common in past centuries.  The word creature in older times did not have the same connotations that it does for us.

I am familiar with "we are all God's children ", "we are all God's creatures" I cannot find a quote from anything predating the 19th century.

Creatures spoken from a person of authority, or overseeing an activity of other beings can be a term of endearment. *Looks over at city from tall tower at civilians*, "look at all the little creatures." But 1 on 1 it is hardly endearing unless commenting on something as if it's an animal like activity, "You're a creature of habit aren't you?".
