Hey Sactume, you got the correct save right? I could have sworn that all the swordsdwarfs were legendary when I was finished with my year. Also the tavern had been named "The Chamber of Sun" unless you changed it back (which is fine but I'm slightly confused and worried now).

I doubled checked the file I uploaded. Maybe I'm missing something.

Also you should dwarf someone as Imic II since he died so damn fast.

Prefect as in a magistrate? Like a Hammerer? or Mayor?

Ok, I'll get Imic II.

I only have 1 save for 42.06 and it is from this link:
And so ended the rule of Mad Sal.
Save: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=11821
DFMA: http://mkv25.net/dfma/map-12656-crackedwalls-crackedwalls

If you have a later save, please post a link and I'll use that.

I've only played 5 days thus far, since I spent most of my time tonight looking around, organizing.

Oops, It's MY BAD, I restored the older save.  I'll re-do.

Jug-jug Blinks, an adventurous gremlin, pauses at the edge of the sand dunes with a sackful of assorted trinkets, including a gabbro mug of beer.

The hands are cleaner relative to the dusty green tint that powders its entire body.  Somewhere in the depths of the brewery of Crackedwalls, a lone barrel of maize beer is contaminated with gnomeblight.  Who knows how this will affect dwarves?

"Sepecome sepeback, I will," mutters Jug-jug to itself.

Journal of Ryukan

I hate it when someone screws with the delicate space-time continuum. Gives me the worst migraines. I woke up today thinking it was the 8th of Granite. NOPE, its the 1st. I need to find who ever did this and push them down a chasm.

Anywho, A robed figure came in.. blah blah blah last settlement blah blah blah immediate danger blah blah. I really hate time travel. I went down to the tavern, got a mug of strawberry wine, went up to the Dining room and and sat there, deep in thought.

I was awakened by, strangely, silence. A Black Robed figure stood in the corner, but this was no dwarf or even a member of the order. He was too tall and he did not have a crest.

"Ryukan?"

"Yes..."

"My name is Fithod of the Elfs"

I jumped up and reached for my sword... oh, right. I gave up my sword for the nobility.

"Don't be alarmed, I came with a warning. The Elves are making preparations for a full on seige of your capital, after it falls, you will be the last dwarven site within the world."

"Oh is that all?"

"And you still have a Bronze Colossus roaming around" With that the elf vanished, like a dream rippling awake. Next thing I know, I'm in the Dinning room and there are dwarves of every sort here. It only took me a moment to figure out what happened.

ooc - I haven't started my real game, other than digging in the old save, hehe.

Are you volunteering for that guy?  I will most likely shuffle the squads around to help speed up training recruits.

The Militia Commander office has a bureaucrat in it!

Of the ~80 pop, maybe 20 military melee units; the Capt of the Guards are the veterans; so the Fodders need some reform.

I want to try a 5 range squads (50 recruits), 4 to train each month on schedule.
So out of 5 range squads, 20 will be training at a given month.

But I'm getting ahead of myself... this depends on magma forges and magma smelters near the surface for a steady supply of copper and silver ammo. :)
