Dang it's annoyingly difficult to start a business that sells actual products, especially when customers are in many geographic regions. Specifically setting up/finding a vendor to manage sales and similar taxes. What an annoying barrier to entry, on top of the already long list of other things to handle unrelated to making the actual products themselves.

You've got to be able to record sales for all taxable jurisdictions, guess if your total sales there will exceed any minimum sales threshold (or just collect it regardless), manage records to sales to tax-exempt entities, manage if the product is even subject to tax in the first place, manage payments to all applicable places, deal with places that charge based on seller location or delivery location, and if the rates are different, ...not to mention the possibility of dealing with international issues...

Yes I know you can find companies and pay them to do that for you, but I need to know enough to make a selection.

We humans sure like making things complicated for ourselves. And people wonder why things are expensive and managed by the giant companies with departments to handle all the accidental complexity...

A lot of that stuff is intentional, to create barriers to new entryists. You see this in a lot of industries where you need to already own a commercial premise and have all sorts of plans, certifications and licenses documented for the most basic of shite, just so anyone can start a business as long as they have a small loan of a million dollars

Pretty sure my right ear is clogged. Feels full, it clicks when I force-change the pressure in my throat, has tinnitus, and it's half deaf. It's also been acting up a couple of months where sometimes lying on my right would make it clog as my ear canal slightly deformed. Also I've scooped out a good chunk of earwax, I just don't want to go too deep and mess up my eardrum or make it worse.

Of course, I was out last night so I woke up late, so no appointments to get it irrigated. And the weekend's coming up, so none until Monday. Mind you, they'd probably tell me to put olive oil in it for the next week before they'll do anything anyways.

I've got some glycerine/peroxide ear solution to hopefully unclog it. Until it is I'm just gonna have to sit and hope.

I’ve found that peroxide solution tends to be good for it. Usually a few days of that followed by spraying water in with an ear syringe (making sure the end is not pointing at my ear drum) is usually good enough to get out whatever is clogging it up.

There are also things you can by to scrape it out, but I personally feel iffy about sticking things in my ears.

I wouldn't recommend putting peroxide in your ear canal.

What you want is hot water and something to squirt it into your ear. One of my ear canals was blocked by ear wax and I went to the doctor for it, and that's all they did. A squeeze bottle with a narrow tube, filled with hot water, and a little cup thing they put under your ear to catch the drainage. Position the tube at the inner top of your ear canal so the water can attempt to get around the blockage. Once the water heats up the wax, it'll soften or maybe even run. Repeat as necessary. Don't stick things in your ears with the intent of scraping stuff out. You're just as likely to push the wax further in and compact it, which makes it even harder to get out with hot water.

I was recommended to use a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution in my ears for a few minutes every day for a week prior to it being syringed at a clinic. Apparently it softens the wax enough that it’s easier to remove.

Hydrogen peroxide used to be recommended to treat cuts and abrasions but it's fallen out of favor somewhat recently. Personally I don't think it's wise to mildly cook the inside of your ear canals with it. Nor soften something which already can melt under hot tap water.

We had a creepy dude at my workplace today.
Buzz cut British dude, completely unaccessible. Crazed expression. Was flippin a coin (a penny) in one hand really slowly, over and over again, while very slowly moving the other side of his body with his other hand towards his bag on the floor.
No response when spoken to. We kept our cool and spoke to him gently, and told him that he would need to buy a ticket to enter the museum. No response. Again. No response. Again. "Yeah no I am just wat bi hal fu kna bubbel. Hu!'.
Started moving around the museum in slow motion. We tailed him. Eventually made his way to the exit. Shouted 'Sieg Heil' when going through the exit. Walked around the perimeter of our building two more times, staring inside. Finally crossed the road away from us neglecting high speed traffic.

Really, all three of us thought he was going to grab a gun from his bag and start shooting.
Another colleague told us that the same guy jumped onto the stage of our city theater the previous day, flipping out and becoming violent.
Luckily, he didn't turn violent at our place except for the 'Sieg Heil'.

Half-educated guess from 20 year pub working experience: Angel Dust (PCP / phencyclidine). Or just plain psychosis. Or perhaps just a 'normal person' who thought he had found the headquarters of the pedophile baby-eating reptialians from Alpha Centauri that are controlling our governments. Because our museum looks like a UFO.

More specifically, peroxide, even the diluted stuff they sell for general use, is capable of causing permanent damage to your inner ear; I used to use the stuff to clear out the ears ('cause it works, really really well at it), but after a stoppage leading to infection I talked to a doc about it and they were, like, "Don't do that. Do not put peroxide in there."

It'll work to get stuff out of there, but you're risking a bit of hearing loss every time you do it.

Ah fuck I just realised this year has been so shitty I even forgot about the necrothread
Good thing someone else remembered to keep up the ritual, who knows what will happen if they don't preform it every year!

Because our museum looks like a UFO.
What type of museum is it?
