Gah, bottled it when trying to get a wig. I don't even know why it's giving me anxiety like this.

There's many reasons people buy wigs. The most prevalent one is after cancer therapy caused hairloss. People tend to know that, and not be rude to people going to a wig store, because being rude to cancer patients is something only real sick bastards do, and not even the sick bastards who hate trans people want to be seen as real sick bastards. Maybe this helps you gain some courage to just go and get yourself an awesome looking wig.

And yes, taking someone with you to help you pick one / a little support is also a good advise.

Yeah I was thinking I might do that.

Besides, I have hair. I have a fair bit actually, I tried growing it out some to see what it'd be like after a few months of minoxidil, and now many months of minoxidil later the Great Bald Spot is still there, much to my chagrin. Maybe if it becomes a thing I'll try the deoxyribose solution those scientists found promoted hair growth, but until then I have to look like Homer Simpson if I'm not wearing a wig.

There's been some tentative research indicating a stronger response when combining chemical treatments with microneedling, but yeah... If someone had a proper, reliable cure for the ol' shine-ening, they'd make a fortune and everyone would know about it.

Slammed and scraped my shin in jiu-jitsu. Given there's not much flesh under the skin to swell up, it's done one hell of a job doing so.

Oh I wish it was my chin, I don't walk by putting weight on my chin.

Had a lovely half hour limp homewards.

So my leg doesn't hurt unless pressure is put on it or I walk for more than two minutes at a time.

It's gone a lovely purple, and there's a nice big 6-7.5cm lump there now.

Calling it quits early last night was definitely the right call.

In light of my leg being dodgy, I skipped a lecture today since that would entail walking 30 minutes. I did, however, have a blood test so I had to walk to that regardless. I've gone and got a cold pack since I was already out and about. I'll get back to lectures tomorrow, but a day of rest-ish will hopefully help it heal.

Gah, worked up the nerve to go to the damn wig shop only to find out it's appointment-only.

Still, good job on taking that hurdle! Did you make an appointment while you were there?

Wig hair is never going to feel like real hair, and it's always better to embrace that you are going to lose it (spoken by somebody with half a head of hair still). Anyway do what is best for you.

Third time, I'm transitioning. Women tend not to have male pattern hair loss and minoxidil combined with testosterone suppression has had a minimal effect.
