Dang it's annoyingly difficult to start a business that sells actual products, especially when customers are in many geographic regions. Specifically setting up/finding a vendor to manage sales and similar taxes. What an annoying barrier to entry, on top of the already long list of other things to handle unrelated to making the actual products themselves.

You've got to be able to record sales for all taxable jurisdictions, guess if your total sales there will exceed any minimum sales threshold (or just collect it regardless), manage records to sales to tax-exempt entities, manage if the product is even subject to tax in the first place, manage payments to all applicable places, deal with places that charge based on seller location or delivery location, and if the rates are different, ...not to mention the possibility of dealing with international issues...

Yes I know you can find companies and pay them to do that for you, but I need to know enough to make a selection.

We humans sure like making things complicated for ourselves. And people wonder why things are expensive and managed by the giant companies with departments to handle all the accidental complexity...
