ITALY RECLAIMS VENICE, LOSES AFRICA! Reports have come in today from the Bride of the Sea; an Italian/German alliance has driven back the well entrenched Austrian troops. The news comes as a welcome relief to Italian citizens after last month's Austrian occupation of Tunis, cutting off the last foreign influence gained during the successful Austrian/Italian campaign of 1902.
AUSTRIA AND TURKEY TRADE GLARES! Unconfirmed reports from the Russian and Balkan territories suggest that, in a recent standoff between Austrian and Turkish forces, no gunfire was exchanged, only harsh glares. Locals in Sevastopol report seeing armies from Turkey and Austria encountering each other in an open field, before the commanders on both sides simultaneously threw their hands up in disgust and ordered a retreat. Our reporters can confirm observing Turkish sailors making rude gestures at Austrian soldiers  who responded by mooning the Turkish across the Bulgarian/Constantinople border. I swear, you can't make this stuff up. Except that I did.
GERMANY SUFFERS MASSIVE LOSSES! In the last six months, the German war machine has suffered serious losses. In Russia, a powerful Austrian offensive drove German out of Moscow, and held it, despite Germany's best efforts. Meanwhile, England completed their conquest of France and the Iberian peninsula, deposing the governments that Germany had installed in Spain and Marseilles.
