After nearly four hours of trekking through the woods and prospectively undertaking another march, Wallace figures he should lighten his loadout. He stores away his sidearm and other items. Wallace raises his M60 and looks down its sights. He feels slightly lighter now. He walks back to the group and awaits for scouting party to be sent out.

"We don't know, Serzhant," Alan answers, then takes another sip from the bottle. "We hide until we know. Understood?"

"Da we shooty last." Lilya nods in agreement.

Dr. Matthias went to go grab his pack and carbine.

"You know, I think I'll accompany the scouting party. Who knows, maybe some medical expertise might come in handy if there's any bartering to be done."

He looked back at Harry, and Aaron as he slung his carbine over his shoulder, "Keep the camp safe while we're gone. Won't be any later than Sunset if scouting goes well and we make contact. Earlier if the situation doesn't look safe."

Harry kicks one of the tires of the HMMWV. "Allrighty then. You guys taking a vehicle? Also, should I keep on trying to keep this friggin thing from breaking?"

Aaron simply nods before grabbing a rather dented can of food to chew on.

The Doctor pursed his lips as he looked over the Humvee with a descerning gaze. "I think staying on foot would be best. Don't want to attract too much attention, and saving fuel for the longer legs of the journey would be best. But working on the HMMVV might be a good thing to do while we're away. Any parts in particular we should be worried about and keeping our eyes open for?"

"Any parts at all, for anything, would be awesome. Manuals for these things would be even better. I was trained on shipboard stuff."

So, you guys are walking to the town while Henry fixes the HMMWV some more and Aaron stands watch?

"We'll definitely stay on foot, Captain." Alan, who had sat down on one of the tree stumps now stands up again and dusts himself off. "And we'll see what we can find. Maybe even fuel?" He looks around. "Everyone ready to go?"

Correct.

Matthias nodded his head in agreement, "Right manuals. If only they put them in the glove compartment like my Ford back home..." He trailed off as he thought about the people and things he had left behind State-side. The chances of seeing any of it again seemed like a far-away pipe dream. He set the thoughts aside, not wanting to dwell on situations he couldn't change. "Let's get going then."

With all that said, the group starts heading off to the village, leaving Arron chewing on a can of green beans and Harry scowling at the HMMWV.

After roughly an half hour of wading through the brush the group reach the outskirts of the forest surrounding Linne, a small settlement that appears to have a wall constructed around it, in some places apparently using the back wall of the houses to support it.

The Polish flag flies from somewhere within the town, and a fugure or two can be seen on the walls, even from where the group is sitting.

Wallace grabs his binoculars. He puts them to his face and adjusts them until they are focused. Wallace tries to determine how well constructed the walls are.

((OOC: Do I need to roll?))

"Comrades. I now regret to tell you that we have not brought the grenade launcher with it we could easily smash the defences.
Now lets go and talk them."
