Knave, is that in English?

The Second Lieutenant(atleast, thats what Lilya thinks they are, two stars on their shoulder board and nothing else) standing outside the gate listens to Lilya, then shakes their head. They then speak in Russian.

Wallace looks at the uniformed officer. He then shifts a bit over, getting closer to Kepler.

"Hey, remember those smugglers from earlier? You think they might be related to here?"

Indeed? As hired guns, I assume. Well, the market is just inside at the main crossroads. If you wish to enlist the governmental offices are to the east of the gates. Weapons are to be left at the gate along with explosives and communications devices. Carry your card at all times, and be inside the hostel by an hour after dusk.
While saying this he writes out a quartet of passes, which he then hands over to Lilya along with a ballpoint pen.

The passes are simple enough, they appear to show date of entry, reason, and a spot for the persons name. There also appears to be a spot left blank for a stamp.

The Doctor couldn't help but feel a little tense. languages were never his strong suit, and now he was putting his faith in the hands of someone who up until very recently had been their prisoner. Things seemed calm enough as the officer handed Lilya a handful of what looked like passes, but letting his guard down would definitely not be the best idea in a place as foreign as this.

"Can you ask them if we're free to leave once we're inside?"

"Can you ask them if we're free to leave once we're inside?"

"You can wait here until we come back if you want."  she tells him in english.

"He's paranoid asks if we free to leave once we inside, can you reassure him?" she asks the guard in russain.
"Here you take gun i come back for gun later" and with that Lilya leaves her Skorpion, hand genades and PKM with the guard and writes down the amount of ammo along with both weapons serial numbers.

Lilya head's in to town and the market.
She what's a bottle of what ever passed for vodka and then to see about the work of this "government" had to offer her.

The gates close when the curfew goes into effect, but otherwise you are free to leave at any time.

Stuff inside the gate is written up, but I am currently on the wrong computer for it, so stuff inside the town will be abstracted untill I can get to it. Roughly five hours from now.

Wallace is unsure how to gauge the Russian. He momentarily feels something is awry, but then dismisses the unknowns and assumes it must be the language barrier between them and her. Upon seeing Lilya remove her arms, Wallace proceeds to do the same, handing off his M60, grenades, and ammunition to the guard. Now unarmed, he walks through the gate.

Kepler follows suit, depositing his weapons and munitions into the bin the rest of the weaponry has been placed into. Everyone receives a chit for what they put in.

As most of the devests themselves of equipment the officer gestures to one of the men on the wall, who waves to someone within the wall. Shortly thereafter the gate swings open, revealing much of the village. A restaurant-turned-hostel stands directly across from this gate, with a somewhat makeshift market in what used to be some front yards to the right. A mostly bare grassy area to the left holds host to a sheep and a band of drilling men armed, for the most part, with bolt action rifles.
Roughly a hundred meters away on the far side of the drilling men stands a mixture of old and new construction, the governmental area.
The polish flag flies from a pole infront of one of the new buildings, adorned with a sign that practically screams "government".

Past the market to the southwest and the governmental building on the southeast are sets of new construction, intermixed with some older structures. Unlike many places, it looks like this place has actually grown somewhat since the war started.

Lilya, within the market, notes a number of stalls, most of which sell produce or what would have been listed as junk before the war. A few of them have a bottle or three on sale, and one has a display of various weapons behind the counter.

Wallace is alieved of remaining tenseness. He appears to be surrounded by makeshift, but civil society. Although he considers following the team's translator into the market, he decides to stay put by the gate to watch the band of men training. He tries to determine their level of experience and organization.
