I have actually already made a map for East Asia. The idea was to use it for my own EoD game, but I don't know when I'll have time for that, if ever, so if you can use it then that's great. The lines are a little rough, since I filtered a map from Wikipedia to create it, but otherwise I think it's quite alright.

Welp, we've got players in Iberia, Italy, Switzerland, Britain, and Russia.  Egypt, Germany, France, and Scandinavia are all open for whatever country you prefer; you could start a bit closer to another player, but that might cause some ill feelings and an early war.  You could do a "serial numbers filed off" historical nation, or just make up a short snippet.  You don't actually need to do some vast history setpiece validating every little thing for this. ^_^

France, the great nation, has survived in the middle of Europe for centuries and the Qadir family is a respected line, the spitting image of the country itself. Since the 1500's, France grew slowly in Europe before losing some of it's bordering vassal provinces to it's neighbors, who saw France's momentary slowing in expansion as a weakness. Adrien Qadir rose to power through his acts on the battlefield, working closely with other important lineages to make friends in high places. Adrien built his power on a foundation of the men and woman of his nation, and his people's admiration of his defense of them. While Adrien believes in expansion in the form of science instead of physical territory, he can and will defend his people from harm. (sorry for the lackluster history)
