Speaking of, I have to ask LW what he thinks about Aarhus and it's approach to deradicalizing it's populace.[/url]
Bringing ISIS fighters back to your streets on purpose is retardedAs a side question, actually, how do you feel about adopted kids, considering your views on family, LW?
Adoption is something people do not consider often enough, which is fitting considering orphans get ignored so much
We had bad PR in the UK due to some adopted kids murdering their parents, which I suppose is how refugee welcome activists feel whenever a refugee murders their carers, it makes everyone reluctant to lower their guard and adopt. There is the family planning angle where abortion has become much more preferable to foster care, which I think if countries like Germany seriously want to keep increasing their population, should consider. Then there is the issue on how what fostered children there are, if they grow up without parents they are highly highly likely to become fucked up as adults with shite career prospects/high likelihood of drug use/violent crime/mental illness. Brought a tear to my eye when some bloke started a charity to teach boys without fathers how to be a gentleman, adorable seeing all these kids wearing oversized suits learning that they have ways out other than the gangs. In short; it's awesome - but you really should screen prospective parents stringently before handing out these kids (Australia and Canada had serious pedo cases). Sibling orphans should never be split, and attempts should be made to get kids fostered as young as possible (older they are the harder it is to get them fostered). Our gov grants up to £50,000 to prospective foster parents to help them care for the kids, as long as you screen for idiots who try to abuse the system by adopting kids and neglecting them for grant money this is more or less ok. Also on a more temporal way, in the West, women who focus on advancing into elite careers over family can still found their family without expensive IVF treatment and just adopt some kids who need a family, win win. Not too many jokes or EU-related stuff, but to relate this to the European Union, the free movement of people and adoption means international adoption within the European Union is something significant.
I'm more suspicious of international adoption because there's less social services can do if kids are given away to couples who turn out to be neglectful/malevolent and trophy children and human trafficking is another concern, particularly if couples are rejected in their home country for being unfit for parenting and just go abroad to a country with lower regulation. Besides that, seems all right. Just make sure the kids are really, really young. It is better if they're too young to remember home or their mother tongue, so they don't have to experience any shock upon adapting to their adopted home.
Failing a collapse of Schengen area, this is an area in which EU bureaucrats should probably begin coordinating regulation between nation states. Start a motion for common principles of adoption 5 years from now, start coordination national governments towards common adoption policy 10 years from now, 15 years from now make it legal obligation of EU states = shit but at least shit with bureaucratic oversight
And should I just make an 'ask LW' thread? That seems likes something that should exist. The densest possible concentration of shitpost, wherein we might discover enlightenment, and be reborn in our next life as a spambot.
*Kitchenbot. Spambots only sell you things you don't need, but you will always need kitchen (or you die from lack of kitchen)
