you will not know every single mechanic at the start. Only what is discovered and found.Also,
EVERYONE CAN JOIN. This is a game that is based around numbers. At the start you will need more people. This will be much more enjoyable if fifteen people sign up instead of four or five.
You will start out this game as a singular character, your PC. Each person who signs up with the character sheet below will start together in this clearing. The more people you have, the better off you are. Actions you wish to do can be done in various ways, by a Stat Roll (Using your base stats to try and do an object, if you don't have the skill for it.) Skill Roll (If you are proficient and educated on the subject or action, you get a roll with a lower difficulty rating.) or other, unknown methods. Your objective is quite simple, to survive and thrive. Time will go quickly as you wish, or as slowly as you want. Some turns may take minutes, days, or even months to years of game time, mattering on what you, the players want. This game will spread through the millennia, and you will grow from your PC's to a large civilization. Various mechanics are described below.
This is of course the only mechanic you understand to start out with. If a male and female character decide to have a child, the child shall take one of the parents stats (Of the female player's choice, she can choose either the male character or female characters stat pool) and have that child inherit it. The rest of the stats shall be the average of the two parents combined. This will allow your population to slowly become better and more evolved.
Stats are rolled with a d20, each stat in a level decreases the difficulty of a roll. Most rolls with have a difficulty of 20. Certain aspects will change this (skills, tools, assistants etc) but high stats will make sure you can do certain actions. You get 5 points as a base stat.
