Name: Kuthulknoes
Primary form: He looks like a humanoid slug wearing a business suit, a top hat, and a monocle. His skin is a dark shade of green and he has four arms that always seem to be fidgeting or snapping or doing something interesting. Kuthulknoes has a fancy black suitcase that has, Happy Fun Stuff marked on both sides in color changing letters. A large jar made of a strange black glassy substance levitates behind him, it has the words, Totally non-soul based Candy Jar written on the side, occasionally he reaches a hand inside of it and brings out a small, terrified bluish jelly bean looking thing, which he promptly consumes.
Symbol: Honestly, he doesn't really care what his followers portray him as, as long as it is suitably mystical and/or awe-inspiring. His preferred symbol however, is a Slug sculpture made of precious metals.
Spheres: Monsters and Chaos, But he isn't a jerk about it.
Friends, Enemies: He doesn't have any enemies yet nor does he wish to, But eventually he might gain one.
Description/Background: Kuthulknoes used to be a garden variety wizard until he had the bright idea to sell his soul to a few extremely powerful demons in order to increase his own power. After several hundred years of carefully manipulating things he managed to consume their souls, becoming stronger than most of the deities of his home dimension. He then consumed their worshiper's souls using an extremely unpleasant disease he created before vanishing into a pocket dimension to avoid the retaliation of the Gods, Soon when the Gods realized that they were running out of power they created more followers, who were slowly wiped out by seemingly endless soul-rot plagues. Eventually they were weaker than Kuthulknoes, at that point he emerged from his hiding place and consumed their essences and his own home universe. However, the consumption and subsequent destruction of the laws of physics had, interesting effects, giving him the physiology of a typical garden variety slug from Earth.
After a few very lonely eons spent wallowing in the Void Kuthulknoes realized that destroying reality was a terrible idea, as now he's extremely bored, But after sensing a new Universe coming into being, along with several other massively powerful beings tampering with it, he's found a new purpose. That is, to make this new Universe as interesting as possible for whoever comes along after he's done. Kuthulknoes was once an ordinary, (By his old Universe's standards) Wizard, And only rose to his position through treachery, lies, and trickery, A fact that he isn't very proud of. He likes to keep the fact that he was once a Mortal a secret, and none other than himself know of it. He has a very strange sense of humor and enjoys setting Mortals against one another. He doesn't really see a point to conflict between vastly powerful entities however, as it always results in total oblivion, slowly going crazy due to loneliness and boredom, or an eternal war, which gets tedious fairly soon. Kuthulknoes does not trust most Magic Users and sees them as very dangerous to the Gods and the Universe. If one that isn't zealously devoted to a Deity becomes too powerful he may attempt to get rid of them personally, With monsters, since he's a God and doesn't really get rid of pesky mortals himself, he's got better things to do you know!
Kuthulknoes is extremely protective of his faithful followers and will go to extreme lengths to prevent any harm from coming to them, but he simply doesn't really care about other mortals as he fails to see how it effects him in any way. He has a fondness for creating dangerous creatures and setting them loose in the ecosystem but he does recognize the need for some balance. Kuthulknoes is very opposed towards Gods fighting one another but He'd prefer to remain outside of a Pantheon, unless a suitably lucrative opportunity presents itself. Kuthulknoes regards putting evil mortal souls into eternal torture as cruel and he prefers to consume them, ((he says that they're very squishy and tender)), and reincarnate the shattered remains of their consciousness after they've digested for an amount of time equal to their evil deeds, into the body of a monster, consuming the rest of the soul to supplement his own power.
Added, beware of those unconditionally protective of mortals.

If I create a large amount of Monsters and spread them across whatever World we're going to make, and if I manage to cause major political strife and possibly warfare in between mortal races, will my Influence increase?
Another question: How do you track a God's Influence?
Yes, that will likely increases your Influence
Here, I track Influence as something along the lines of creating things that lead to "worship" rather than worship. For more comprehensible examples, Discworld has a few.
Aniger the Oh God of Squashed Animals (i.e. roadkill)
Anoia the Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers (complaining about Things That Get Stuck in Drawers counts as praise)
Bilious the Oh God of Hangovers
