No, d4 is the stat. Having a stat of d4 means that you roll 1d4 for anything involving the Stat. For example, Henrietta has a Toughness stat of d12, so if she had to make a death check she would roll 1d12.

No, it knocks it up two dice tiers. SPR+2 would have d8.

If I had a vote, I'd vote in favour of putting blood-and-guts areas on the planet. It's the stuff that forces people to think creatively, causes conflict and makes our world a unique one.

So many ideas to use such a place for, so little time...

The dice used are d4, d6, d8, d10 and d12. So yes, even numbered only.

Why would I know this  :-\? Each die tier is +2, and you need a 4 for most tests. There isn't really any reason for them to do +1 side instead of +2 sides, is there? Ask Pinnacle, I guess. Its probably because the game is meant to use physical dice, and d4,6,8,10, and 12 are all common gaming dice. 5,6,7,8,9 would have several uncommon dice, and you would have that general problem no matter what you chose.

Hrm. Quite a few ideas...I think this God will be Fun.

So, are souls actually able to be affected by stuff, or are they like the universe's bookkeeping? (Are there functional differences in lacking one)

And, uh, are we having Powers in this game, or how do they work with spell casting and such for agents/races? And for edges can we try to make up our own that fit to this setting better? Obviously they get run by you and such, but you know.

Oh, and Stirk...I wasn't criticizing. ;) Who knows, I may even follow your lead. But that's Yet To Be Determined. >:D

Almost Forgot! How many action points to do research? Arbitrary number for however much we wish to conduct? Is it (relatively) more effective in public, as an inverse of *1.5 AP cost for secret actions?

        Magic: It's likely to be treated as in previous YGs: Neat things to do with (relatively) vaguely described personally made magic systems (with mostly GM-adjusted power scaling to keep nuclear mages from becoming a cheap thing). The Spellcasting skill conveniently simplifies keeping track of the previously vague and somewhat Gauss-based magical skill distribution
        Research: Externally, there's an arbitrary amount (modifiable by, e.g. previous experience) to pour in (modified by, e.g. equipment, proximity/access to research subject, and certain sphere insights) and once in a while, nifty discoveries spring forth. Public research is indeed cheaper but also risks what I judge to be a fair bit as far as control of details/results on discoveries go.

Price check on [Industrious]: Works hard and is good at industry and craftsmanship of all kinds (found the Skill+1 trait)
Price check on [Lifespan+2]: Lives longer than others (remembered that Unaging counts as flavour)
Price check on [Fruitful-1]: Birth rate is reduced

Could you have a copy of the descriptions of the attributes up in the Races and Agents section? It's a bit annoying having to go down two posts when someone's making a race needs to check what the attributes do.
