Eh, sheet posted. It might be a little wordy though so I may get back to it eventually.

The actual abilities of the symbiont creature are up to you to decide, if you even allow it that is.

How are the Slate Meritocratic? Also will she be able to Shapeshifter some, since she is a hybrid? Or are Slate stuck in their shifted form? In general I like it, and it makes for some interesting plot ideas, like combatting personalities and slow dehumanization. They sound like the Thing, one of my favorite movies.

I'll allow it, looks good. Made me chuckle seeing that we're having a gem race in the game, though.

Quick question - you already have another gem race in the game and you chuckle at how I came up with something similar or did you see right through me and chuckled at the insertion of that franchise in your game?
I mean, revising what I wrote, I can see I missed one rather important aspect in description of gemkind, that being fusion.

I chuckled at the direct insertion of one of my favorite shows into my game.

Yep, the Meritocracy will being wearing jewelry with the shattered Queen Diamonds, reminding Gemkind who the leaders really are.

So, crossovers are good, yeah?

Schlock Mercenary, only a pirate and without any sort of limiter on.

Cool, but could you please give me some more information on the application? Just tell me how badass he is, elaborate on the fight with the Pirates, showcase his ability and personality in this fight. Make him a character, because you don't want to get bored playing as him halfway through the game.

Shes human, and lives in a human society, so I thought the human part would count for meritocracy. She just doesn't tell most people about her phisiology.

The slate part is a separate entity that feeds off her own nutrition (think of Parasyte: The Maxim). As for its ability to shapeshift, I mean, it depends on what kind of balance you're going for.

Basically, she has some level of control over its nervous system given that she can still walk. Since it's large and well-developed, it can shapeshift fast enough to assume vital life functions before she died, so it's a fast shapeshift although not necessarily instant.

Yes, they can shift again after they assume forms since the slate used to be a soldier form before it took on a semi-human form.
It only occupies the lower half of her body, so the rest of her can't shapeshift (for now).

I'm hoping for some plot development though so I can take the character further.

Hey, can I be a passenger on anyone's pirate ship, if we both get in? Also, is there a player limit?

My sheet is on the first page, no combatant, but a good tinkerer.

For this first adventure, I think I'll limit the number to 5. Afterwards, there will be no limit, and I will Remove the Affiliation with Pirates part of the Character sheet, since you will no longer have to be close to pirates. Kinda like a tutorial level before they throw you into the real game.
