[Tack]

He gives a pained laugh. "I'll be blunt, then. Have you rented a room yet?"

[SOLDIER First]

"I have not."

[Tack]

"Excellent. How about we put you up for the night then?" He lifts his hands. "Don't worry, we'll leave the door open, you can head out in the morning. Just so that we may keep an eye on you, make sure you don't do anything stupid."

[SOLDIER First]

"Where, exactly, would I be sleeping?"

[Tack]

"Only room we 'ave. We ain't bleedin inkeepers."

[SOLDIER First]

"I meant where in town. Where is your home?"

[Tack]

There's a pause.
"Um.."
The figure whispers to the man next to him.
_{"Can he not see our uniforms, corporal?"
"Buggered if I know how blind he is."
"Could be an Ogre thing?"
"Buggered if I know how blind ogres is"
"Should we tell him?"
"Buggered if I.. I mean... probly.}
"Right!"
"So. We're members of the guard. So... You wouldn't my be staying in our homes."
"More like our office, sort o' thing. 'Ken?"
"Exactly! Just in the overnight, nothing to worry about."

[SOLDIER First]

Larok looks between the two, eyes narrowed.

"..Fine, then. I'll stay in this office for you."

[Tack]

"Wonderful!" I'd hoped we could see eye to... eh..."
"Alright, let's step to, then."
Two men take up position behind Larok. Another, the one with the coarse accent, walks in front. Beside the ogre saunters the man he was speaking to.
"So, new to the city then?"

[SOLDIER First]

"I am. There are a lot of people here."
It almost sounds like that's not obvious to him.

[Tack]

"Yes, I guess. This is actually one of the smaller cities around. If you saw Aurelar to the east... Now that's a lot of people."
He holds up a hand.
"Just here a bit. The next shift should be in a few moments."

[SOLDIER First]

Larok waits quietly, contemplating everything.
Or, at least, it looks like it..

[Tack]

As he waits, he feels the cool breeze and mists from the waterfall ease away his stress.

Soon, with a loud rattling sound, a series of long planks are lowered seemingly from nowhere to bridge the river.

The corporal goes first, hopping across the uncomfortably narrow footing with ease.

"So, why the visit to our city, if I may ask?", the man next to Larok gestures says, before easily trotting across the bridge and turning back to face him.

[SOLDIER First]

Larok looks down at his footing as he walks, moving cautiously.
"To form a company." he says simply. Surely the man knew from his sword?

Ghaminia nodded politely.

"A pleasure." she said in her whispering voice.
