Graphics Help!
« on: January 04, 2016, 05:52:09 pm »

I've installed the curses +1 tileset to my stuff, however, I've discovered that each tile is much larger than I've expected, and the number of tiles of my fort I can see at a time has dropped significantly. I've begun to worry about being able to see everything. Is there any way I can get the size of the tiles to normal while still maintaining my curses +1 tileset? OR, are there any ways you've come up with to quickly see everything or several things at once? I've got 1366x786 dimensions on my monitor. I'm using the most recent version of DF.

Does zooming in and out with your mousewheel not work for tilesets?

(I really wouldn't know, ASCII player here)

'Ascii' is a tileset...
Yeah, mousewheel should work.

You might have better luck posting this in the graphics forum.

Zooming in and out w/mousewheel doesn't work (I don't use mousewheel with DF anyway).

Strange, it's the default setting in vanilla DF. Are you using a pack or something with new key settings?

Press escape, key bindings, what's zoom set to?

Oh, and I think there's an option in init.txt to switch off the mouse altogether, that would probably block your zooming if you don't redefine it as a different key.

Scale all graphic files down with some image manipulation program, then change the graphics tile size definitions accordingly.

OK, fixed it. Thanks. Everythign's fine now (for now). Haven't found any metals yet, but that's unrelated to graphics. Thank you.
