For a moment Elise was frozen, her eyes locked onto the skeleton. Then she moved, scrambling backwards towards the exit of the room.

The mechanism was running its inexorable course. Locked in, like rats in a bucket of water, all that remained was to swim. Kick. Struggle.

Christina nods, eyes drawn to the burn.
"How have you been?"

Elise pressed her back against the wall, shaking. Her eyes searching the ground for anything that could be used as a makeshift weapon.

Oceanus looks at the gate in confusion.
"Wait, they had such a good grasp of engineering back then that this didn't fall apart?"
And so he waits for the skeleton to march inexorably towards him. At least until it's a few feet from the other grate. Then he can just walk briskly around it to check out the only other exit.

Elise hand fought tenuous and uneasy comfort in the cold iron that Morgana had given her.


Ghosts.....skeletons...was this the time for hesitation?


"Sh...shiii...shiiiii...."

Morganas teeth meanwhile were glued together by fright. Not even curses to bemoan this....obstacle were able to escape her.

Emmett, a short ways away from the two girls, is completely flat against the wall, his eyes locked with the skeleton's.

This was real.

Oliver does a vague shrugging motion before smiling.
Great surprisingly well despite the pain it hasn't been bad here I'm only alive because of you guys so I guess....physically this has been horrible but mentally....i am a lot more alive then I ever was so....I'm doing great.

Was it a deep-rooted instinct of a predator that turned the monstrosities hunger towards the most vulnerable pray, or a templars unrelenting hatred against those of islamic descent pushing it onward, in the end all that remained was the realisation in Emmetts head that this sin against all gods was making haste to gain him mercifull release from the horrors of life, through brutal actions and unspeakable doings.

Paralyzed in his own fear, Emmett had little time to appreciate the realisation of just how real this was, as the thing was already upon him. Mustering what little strength his brain could, the cortex having abandoned the amygdala already. This older, more primitive part of the brain had raised Emmetts arms with no realisation of doing so, delaying the teeth that were longing to dye themselves red.

Emmett struggles with the corpse, not even able to be disgusted through the mortal terror. He shoves it away as hard as he possibly can, rears back, and punches it square in the jaw.

[Adragis]

"Wonderful."

[Sanure]

Felicia, taking strength in the brass medallion she held in her hands and the fear of these ungodly abomination, ran straight towards emmett and the skeletal corpses, jumping at them and curling into a ball as she attempted a, albeit weak, tackle to save Emmett.

Elise held out her piece of iron, her stance unsteady, her hands shaking as she pointed it towards the horror that slowly approached them. As it grew ever closer the cold certainty that she was dead seeped over her, there was no way they could beat this thing. She would die here, friendless and with no one knowing or caring what happened to her.

As this thought came to her, a fire of anger began to rise inside her. Anger at the skeleton, anger at the people who stood around, anger at the very world itself. She grasped onto it, fuelling it until it became a inferno. In this moment is more useful that happiness, confidence or even hope. The chubby girl rose the metal up above her head, she knew deep in her heart it would be useless but at the moment she did not care. With all her meagre strength she slammed the metal into the skeleton's skull.

Oceanus seeing that the skeleton is out numbered and probably going to be pinned down, goes to see if the grat it was previously keeping open was open now.
