Morgana sighs with resignation. Maybe she shouldn't have taken in the first people who came across the club...

"So you claim to know a few things about magic? Fine. Dear christina here has messed up the ritual to create protection for her aura. If you are able to create an artifact that can provide it, you are in."

[Sanure]

Felicia starts digging in her satchel before pulling out an amulet, "Here. It's made of brass, treated with yew sap, and has the runes for purity and Sanctuary in it."

[Akroma]

"Brass has a bad blood memory."

[Sanure]

"Blood? Why would you use blood in a protective amulet? Are you trying to draw a spirit to the wearer?"

[Akroma]

"Sap contains as much energy as a diet rice-waffle. Does your cellphone run on hopes and wishes too?"

[Sanure]

"Sap works as a better amplifier for magic, yew sap in general is better at protecting the wearer. It's not about generating as much protective energy as possible. You have to weave the magic into an actual shield that can protect you, other wise all the energy is useless mess." Felicia then laughs.

[Akroma]

"But there is literaly nothing to amplify, this thing is as unmagic as a bag of crisps. Also, the sancutuary rune is placed on structures, not amulettes."

[Sanure]

"What book did you read? Brass is a catalyst for magic. It's the most receptive material next to gold. The rune for Sanctuary is to focus the protective magics into a barrier to repel darkness and harm. I thought you knew that." She laughs again.

[Akroma]

""Hurrah, amplifiers and catalysts, but no reactant. Your gun has a laser sight and an extended barrel, but no ammo, you fraud.""

[Sanure]

"We live in the reactant. The world is the biggest font of magic. All I did was create a device to shape the energies. You'd realize that if you knew anything about the occult or Thaumaturgy." Felicia shrugs and just smiles.

[Akroma]

"Except that's just wrong. Ever checked your amulett with an amethyst refractometer?"

Morgana tapped the weird third lens on her glasses.

[Sanure]

"You didn't really just say Amethyst refractometer, did you? You really used the most mundane gem for gauging the magical properties of a magical device? And you called me the fraud..." Felicia just face palms.

[Akroma]

"Get rekd, noob."


Morgana took of her glasses, revealing that indeed, her eyes were tiny...and handed them to Felicia

[Sanure]

Felicia took them and examined them, "Please speak clearly or I might think lesser of you." She then puts on the glasses, not really expecting to see anything different, other than the blurry vision she would now suffer.

[Akroma]

Felicias vision is overwhelmed by an incessant cacophony of colors. She could say three things for certain, in this mind-riddling chaos of new impressions. For one, Morgana was practicaly blind, the thickness of the glasses blurring Felicias vision, reducing the features of her surroundings almost to guesswork. But more importantly the amethyst was working, revealing a strong glow emanating from the lead amulette that Morgana was brandishing with a triumphant grin next to the dull, mundane brass waste-of-time she was so proud off. Moreover, Morgana was giving off a bright effulgence herself - unlike the other club-members.


"If you are wondering, I eat mandrakes for breakfast. Yes, they taste as bad as they look."
