The Cannonball
Urist decided to hire a crier. "Get smashed at the Cannonball Inn!" The catchy slogan works well with the sign. After clearing up the fire-damaged furniture, the bar area has some open space- but it's mostly standing room only. This results in some bickering over the remaining stools and a lot of spilled ale. The patrons are mostly commoners, and unwealthy travelers. They don't represent any particular group, hunger and the need for cheap drinks know no race or creed. You manage to rent out the two rooms most nights, but much cheaper than you'd normally be able to get for rooms with feather mattresses, and the silk sheets are dirty and torn now due to rough handling, and being slept in by adventurers who sleep with knives in their belts. In short, the customer base is a bit rough, but at least you have a customer base now. You meet a merchant who tells you he is in dire need of caravan guards, but really on the cheap.

The Dancing Elf
Thinking better of the Dicks Inn theme, Troy decided to repaint the door and draw a dancing elf instead. The painting is very crude, Troy not being much of an artist (nor any of the other bar hands) but it's definitely a humanoid creature, and it's probably dancing. At least, it's not doing what the elves on the stained glass windows are doing, since it's just one elf. The broken windows are hastily boarded up the keep the wind out, but they're pretty drafty. People who do wander in looking for shelter are sold the homemade cider, and word gets around that there's pretty good cider being sold in the building with the broken windows and a picture of an elf standing on one leg. You could probably attract a nice crowd with your cider, if the establishment were more suitable. You hear a homeless drinker raving about a ghost in the abandoned church to Silewe, Elven God of Goat-herding, a few blocks down. Quest?

King Riameth has declared that there will be a tax on alcohol-selling establishments. The tax will support an alcohol recovery program by paying for counselors wages and torture racks. Currently, the tax is 30 silver per month.
You've made contact with drink suppliers. You can buy well drinks (permanent supply) and call drinks (by the bottle/cask). In the case that your manager makes improved drinks, the same prices apply to adding that drink to your inventory.
