I guess I'll propose the removal of rule 20. Honestly the two player support minimum is good enough. If I do that you'll pass the proposal right? Note that this isn't an actual proposal, just my intention to maybe do so.

Anyway, what's your ruling on how Holy Emperors are voted in Fallacy. I'd like the specifics on exactly what you think is required, so I can address this. How many votes are required for a majority?

To me, a majority just means "more than half the votes cast". 1 vote is more than .5 votes, so that would constitute a majority to me, even if its a really stupid majority.

Does everyone who can vote have to? Do they have to use all their votes, or only at least one? Would someone have to spend 500$ on a vote if they didn't have any votes in order for the vote to go through? What if they couldn't afford a vote?

Edit: Looking over your posts, it seems you want it to be half the total Imperial Elector Votes held by all players. Is that basically your stance? That does make sense in a way, but the rules doesn't state that explicitly.

I'll try to.

Yes, this is basically my stance. While it may be true that the rules don't state that explicitly, they also don't do that for the other possibility.
I would like to note that the most common usage of "majority vote" is that more than half of the votes cast are on a given condition, a majority. If a vote is not cast, it should be something like "abstain", which means the vote is still there, it's just not set to yes or no.

Yes, I considered that players would be abstaining by default. You've convinced me, but I'll give the other players some time to convince me otherwise.

Proposal 26: Remove rule 20.

Short and sweet.

I also oppose Proposal 25. The wording is kinda weird and bothers me. I like when people make rules that potentially set things up for later. This one makes me ask the question of "Why would I want to keep my sash?" I'm sure you had an answer planned for that later on, but I can't support the proposal as is.

I oppose Proposal 22 for unneeded complexity and many potential loopholes.
May I ask about any loopholes you may have found? Not that I could do anything about it this turn without some sort of mechanism to modify existing proposals :)

Right, since no one has come forward about the Holy Emperor thing, Sensei is no longer, and never technically was Holy Emperor. False alarm.

Ha.
Not that it means anything.

Loopholes... loopholes... just unneeded complexity and unbalancedness, perhaps. Or not. Or not...
actually, I kinda like your idea, it's just that I feel the possibility for infinite variant proposals is a little unbalanced. Maybe only one per player per proposal?

I doubt we'll see too many variant proposals. I suppose it could be exploited to make more than one proposal, if one doesn't mind another player reaping the benefits. Honestly, I'll just make sure to enforce whether a variant proposal is proper harshly. There might be edge cases, but I probably won't have to intervene much.  That's assuming proposal 22 passes, of course.

More likely than not, it'll mostly be used to amend an existing proposal after a discussion of its merits. Do a lot of people have problems with your proposal? Make a variant that addresses those problems then. Need to do some fine tuning of the wording? Go ahead then.

... huh. It'll make it easier to pass Proposal 26, at least.

Proposal 27:  Failed proposals make the person that proposed the proposal to lose 1 Imperial Elector Votes, with 0 being the minimum you can have.

Support proposals: 22, 23, 26
Oppose proposals: 24, 25

Kinda of a shame that they left, but its not anything personal. I'm not really sure what to do with their proposal now that they're gone. Anyway, I support Proposal 27. Note that a vote currently needs 4 supports to pass, and the first vote from a new player (which is generally on their own proposal, but not always) is worth 2.

Sorry, can't update right now due to irl stuff. I should have the turn up no later than 4 hours from now, but probably less than 2. Apologies for the inconvenience and such.
