I mean, I'm trying to 'remember' if anyone I know might know something about them, and be near enough at hand for that knowledge to be useful. Maybe with the bartender being one of those people I know with more information than he's letting on or something. *shrug*

Instead of editing a bunch..

So tonight's basically just a meet and greet, deciding how many extra characters I should herd in. Tbh, four is a good round number, as I'm pretty qual/quant. I like the lineup, 2 faces, 2 beaters, so I'd probably only want to throw in a shooty scout to fill out your skill gaps.

Long story short- if the players wanna wrap this up, move on to the next morning and start the campaign proper, just say your character is retiring for the night.
Once it starts completely, I'll ring bells to let you know the time, but I'm not gonna push you guys places. If you undersleep, you undersleep.

So, funny story.
Turns out somewhere between me writing down the aspects, and me making the Character sheet template, a section of the skill pyramid seems to have fallen off.

I have promptly put that section of the skill pyramid back on, so all starting PC's actually have a +4 skill, and the corresponding number beneath. Meaning basically an extra +3, +2 and +1. (OR, as I've put it on the sheets, four extra +1's.)
So yeah. Thank Caellath for pointing it out to me.

Edit: I've put the [nobbc] tag on all of your character sheets on the Front Page if it'll save you all any trouble. (It'd sure save me a little)

I can't keep skipping RPGeek, especially as leaving the bar now would make the story more interesting.
Or maybe just less bloody. I can't tell yet.

I think my lack of setting explanation is why it's stalled so hard. The reason for that was because I was trying to have your characters be notably inexperienced at this sort of thing. However, I think not even knowing where you're supposed to show is a problem.
Military contracts and mercenary work both are updated once every ten days. Therefore that day is pretty busy where they're concerned. All companies who usually range far outside of the city will get lodging in order to be there early when the hall of commerce opens.
In a large city, the wily would go scrambling around the pubs late at night, checking out competition, or chasing up possible recruits. The rest would gather in the hall at the crack of dawn the next morning, where companies with good reputation with the city would be given contracts, guarding or patrolling for daily wage. New companies can also be signed into charter there, whilst meanwhile smaller companies, or rag-tag bands of adventurers attempt to bid the lowest on standalone contracts to clear out bandits or guard a caravan.
That will be the situation presenting you tomorrow- probably involving numerous checks from many different skills. Should be fun!
