Tip of the day #277: Construction workers may work on multiple buildings in one turn, so long as they are in the same square and all work adds up to 8 HP.

Shops now exist! Items have a cost and a price. They have a cost to the empire that creates them, and sell to heroes for a price. The price defaults to a 25% mark-up, and all profits or deficits go to the empire. Empires may price their items however they want.
It costs 1 movement point to shop at a single store, for anything you want. You may, for example, buy a sword from the blacksmith and then buy a dozen healing potions from the herbalist for the total turn cost of 2 movement points (plus money).
Republic of DaquraA Laborer's Guild is constructed.
A bounty of 20g is placed on the southwestern lair.
The guard moves to defend the capital's northern flank. He reports that his injuries will not prevent him from fulfilling his mission.
Yhaesimir moves north and casts flame wash at the lair for 6 damage. It is destroyed.
+9g, 3xp
Hakkar advances and strikes a rat for 2.5 damage.
Nakdar moves west and Flame Darts a rat for 1 damage.
Someone should end their turn at that former rat lair (north) to survey it. Lairs are well known to arise near resources.
All Republic heroes earn 9g and 2 xp for their proximity to a destroyed lair, and 1 xp for participation in battle.
Holy Empire of RavennaThe construction worker pauses his work on the guardhouse, returns to the capital, and builds an inn.
The guard retreats to the capital and prepares to tend to his wounds next turn. (He later gets killed by a werewolf anyway.)
Lucius Leight scouts northwards, and discovers the lair the pesky rats are coming from. He finds a new rat appearing from the lair. He smites the first rat for 2 damage. He gains 1 xp for his discovery.
Joe moves north and shoots the first rat for 2 damage, killing it.
Sir Devon moves east, seeing Lucius' rat lair. Since he's a cheater who looked at the map, he gains no exploration xp. He blasts the new rat for 2 damage.
All Empire heroes earn 1 xp for their participation in battle, 1 xp for slain foes, and 4g.
HoshloamThe construction worker, wary of people seeing the glory of his new form, quickly returns to the city and builds a marketplace.
Sir Steele kills the wounded rat for 2.5 damage, then challenges the next to a duel. It either cannot hear him, cannot understand Hoshlomain, or doesn't care about the honor of its ancestors.
Aquir quickly moves in to occupy the old rat's square. Not being one to waste time, he then flame blasts the hostile rat next to him for 2 damage.
(Auto)Grasshopper moves up with Aquir and shoots the rat for 2 damage. It squeaks.
Hoshloam receives 20g from the Discretionary Art Fund.
All Hoshloam heroes earn 1 xp for their participation in battle, 1 xp for slain foes, and 2g.
MonstersDaqura Rat attacks Hakkar for 2 damage.
Ravenna Rat attacks Sir Devon for 2 damage. He starts to tear up a bit at the injustice of it all.
Ravenna Werewolf Guard decides to chase down that delicacy.
It moves north and kills the guard.
Hoshloam Rat ignores the heroes and moves up to nibble
on the guard's replacement sadly on Sir Steele.
