Once a year the world's attention briefly pretends to be on New Zealand for a few hours.

Statistically, most of that time was related to the Lord of the Rings movies, so now that both trilogies are complete,I'd expect the time spent thinking about new Zealand to trend downwards.

A little under 9 hours for me. And better yet, I'll be working until just before midnight.

About 30 minutes till 2016.
Due to weird timezone bullshit, the people in Poland a few kilometers away from me will only get to celebrate the New Year in 2 hours 30 minutes.

It is a little less than nine hours until New Year's Day for me and my family.  We may drink demi sec bubbly wine before then.  I've already been into the dry red.  Most likely we will be in bed and asleep in seven hours.  But no worries, we shall be awake bright and early in 16 hours plus or minus one hour, drinking mimosas with breakfast, and drinking demi sec bubbly with our boiled corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes New Year's midday dinner.  So there.  *grin*

Again:

Happy New Year

No New Year for me yet, but I'm done with this year, going to bed. Let's make next year (even) better. At least I will. And year after year. One day, I am going to change the world.

Everyone, let us work towards creating a better world.

One with less overall dickery and more general chill.

One with Moon bases.

And hovercrafts for every household.

Happy New Year.
