Revise Dover-class brig into Yorktown-class brig

Replace the two 6-pdr by 8-pdr Van Karsten. Copper the hull to make it fast, add pintle-mounted Coombe mini-cannons on the sides, increase the masts and sails size. The resulting ship should have more firepower than the dover whil being much faster.

We should combine human ash, for its compatibility with humans, with powdered rice, for its absorbency, and fertile soil, for added tenacity, and a solidifying agent, perhaps a mixture of starch and pitch(experimentation with varying materials advised), to have it hold its place until bonded, and run it in dry channels through our vessels. We then require a living essence to be hosted by the vessel, some form of vine might work, perhaps with an alignment towards life, something with fruit... Grapes should prove effective, their tendency to fermentation enhances them with a tendency towards utility in death. The channels should attract the spirits of the fallen and the vines should attune those spirits towards the function of the vessel. The ability to retain some of the function of lost crew should grant our vessels a great resistance to canister shot and the attrition of long voyages. Not to mention the inherent difficulty of taking such a vessel as a prize...

Copper the hull to make it fast, add pintle-mounted Coombe mini-cannons on the sides, increase the masts and sails size. The resulting ship should have slightly more firepower than the Dover while being much faster.

To speed things up +1. It is still not a warship and looks too expensive for a dedicated trader role but I think we can win American contranct with it.

95 by 27 foot, this ship carries two 8lb guns with ports on the sides and aft. It also carries 4 pintle Combe Mini-Cannons, two a side. Top sails have been added for extra speed,  and the hull has been copper sheathed. This streamlines the ship and increases the amount of time it can spend at sea before needing to return to dry dock. (5 ore, 1 wood)

We don't obsolete Dover because it is much more cheaper with its 3 ore, 1 wood cost

Next turn we have no other choice but invest in resource extraction and that is when we need better rifle and artillery...

UR, yes, it's very expensive, but that's FINE for a ship. Much better to have it not suck so we can accumulate them over time.

So, what are we stealing? I'd go for either the 12-pdr Howitzer or the steam railway system thing.

Kashyk, Can we use our spying action to negotiate temporal or permanent alliance with pirates? And\or trading techs with them? 

If we go for stealing I prefer to steal loyalist's revision. They are gonna to revise their rifle and it has many techs attached.  Stealing current turn design of any of our enemies is good because they will either design a proper ship (giving us navy for free)  or something to counter our thin land warfare advantage or resource booster.

Stealing steam wagons is useless because they are no better than our current logistics tech

My understanding was that steam wagon + our tech would give us two extra ressources. If not, they're useless of course.

Loyalists have two revisions, so we don't know what we'd steal.

Also, just noticed that our victorias and pistol are marked as complex in the last turn instead of cheap.

My current plan

1) produce more 8lbs cannons
2) espionage -
3) focus one: build a fort and protected port at the peninsula that was attacked the last time.  Use it as a base for regaining over the seas around by using yourktowns for hit and run attacks or boarding and dovers\gunboats to aid guns of the fort should enemy come close.
4) focus two: attack fort Alton from three direction to cut off that bulge near bradford
