Didn't someone suggest taking the pepperbox design and having only the rear of the barrel rotate? That could allow a fast-firing weapon that has the one barrel for accuracy. Or we could go for one of those breech-loading cannons we were pondering. Would be good navally for sure, which is important now that the island is entirely blockaded.

Pretty sure we made a pepperbox carbine last turn for cavalery.

How about a grenade? We've got a leg up on explosive tech, so just a hollow iron cylinder filled with whatever we put in our howitzer shells? We can shoot them up from range, and then get them with grenades if they close close enough.

And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the Assaulted Lanterns Magma Artillery' - King Id I of the Assaulted Lanterns

Grenades are never a bad idea if you don't have one.

+1 for me.

Well it's the safest bet for having one work, since you don't have to worry about size or shape constraints as much. Plus you can get a better throw on them.

Just did check up on and we have to design a mordernish grenade arouns ww1 type to even be effective, since majority before that were inffective.

One which was very effective was 1908 one rifle grenade which was long stick grenade loaded in rifle and fired at enemy.

Yes and no. Killing power is certainly low before true Frag grenades, but any sort of explosive thrown against charging bayonets is always effective deterrence. At least it disrupts line formations.
