Actually, why are we going for a peninsula that would no doubt have been reinforced rather than the city on the coast?

Because better support from our ships. We only lost because we were outgunned on land due to lack of numerous good infantry weapons.

Plus a two-pronged approach should help against any reinforcement.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Um, how does that equate to better support from our ships exactly?

Yeah, they weren't mentioned in the previous action.

In addition, our ship's cannons have a range of maybe 700 meters. It's not going to be spectacular.

We need to produce the rifle, are ships just don't have the range to support effectively at the moment so we need as much infantry advantage as we can get.

We don't need to produce the Rifle. Our enemy has been dealing with Expensive Rifles for the last several turns, and that has been quite effective.

I'm not entirely confident in relying solely on the new Jaeger class to defend the seas. With the new trade deals, it's quite probable that both enemies will try to improve navally. In addition, they both get extra resources, meaning more gunboats.

Furthermore the Mod. B will be cheap, meaning that our infantry still has the ability to utterly dominate theirs irrespective of the mod AA being expensive.

Furthermore, more london-class vessels means that our control of the seas remain uncontested. As a vital point for us we need that to remain so, even ahead of any invasion plans.

If they gain the advantage in artillery than our rifles become moot until we can hit them with cavalry. And if they have infantry guarding the arty(which they will), than the calv will probably be stomped on by them...

Its really a bit of a rock-paper-scissors moment.

Anyways, what are we arguing about? What to produce?

-edit-

I vote howitzers. Also, we should upgrade them, perhaps get an extra 100m or so of range.

I'm voting for a ship, ideally the London class. Assure sea superiority, then follow up with an invasion.

Producing the Howitzer wont help us that much.

I vote for the London class

Consider my vote to be for the london-class to get the production boost this turn.

Dude, I told you not to bring that up in the OOC thread, now they're DEFINETELY going for our rifle since it's completely obvious what we want to change espionage for. >:(
