I had an idea for starting out as a suggestion game to enforce a magical kindom's law onto a problematic(maybe they summon bad things that take over, maybe they declare independence, maybe it starts with the envoys not returning and an investigation being required. Whatever the case, you end up trying to put down a rebellion while preserving your kingdom's magical legacy) national magical institution. You would be part of a larger force and the actions would(secretly) be less about winning or losing and more about what parts of the facility survive when you are finished. Maybe they could save the winged horses and unicorns  in the stables but the summoning library is destroyed so summoning would need to be abandoned or rebuilt from scratch, or perhaps they burn down the stables and a bunch of N.P.C.s get the chance to save some nature mages who can animate flora... After a brief stint as a suggestion game it would turn into a design bureau game where the ruins of the magical institution are put to work and rebuilt. Possibly mix in a splash of X-com style small-scale incursions from a more-or-less hostile but physically unconnected world...

But realistically I am never going to do it, so here we are...

O.Wilde, you missed the Brittish thread...
I checked here: bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=114195, no spying in other threads for me, I keep my stalking on the up-and-up!
Speaking of, can we have links in the first posts? Or is that deemed too inviting...

I'll stick links to the engineer threads in the OP. I'll also be updating the OP with the current tech of every nation when we go through the turns.

Yay Kashyyk! Thanks for a great job!

Speaking of lowering complexity, will you maintain the "ships are more expensive on their first turn" rule?

For what it's worth, I think you're right, I don't really see what this rule brings to the game.

Also, the link to the Dunwich Thread actually leads to the Atterton thread. Sorry Atterton, I read a couple of your posts before realizing.

Well, there was no way that was going to end well. Thanks for pointing it out.

Well, we ran through 1 GM, but it works fine.

Was really due to problems on my end than anything else.  If they clear up so I can run a game on this scale, I'll either rejoin as the secondary GM or launch a Magitech or Far Future game.

Ok, it's been over a day since my last request for a response regarding the complexity reduction thing and I've had nothing, so I'm going to assume that means you all consent.

The British Loyalists gain 1 revision credit. This can be used during the revision phase either in sequence or in parallel with the standard action.

The Atterton Monarchy will have their Victoria Rifle and related techs updated to match the Dunwich Confederacy.

Excuse me what damage is the Revision credit for? Is it for the Airsofts being one step Cheaper?

If it is so I would rather just let the Loyalists choose one weapon to make cheaper, as long as GM agrees.

It's because we were actually counting on the automatic cheapening of our rifles when we designed them-only for that to go away. Which means we will have to burn several revision actions to get them more than expensive show pieces

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

So a question in this thread so everyone can see it; how will the American thing work? Is it like an extra design phase for something we don't get to use?

You are offering them a copy of a blueprint you own. You are perfectly welcome to produce the design in question yourself regardless of whether it is chosen or not.
