99.999% of the time when someone tries to bring magic into what is intended to be a semi-sorta realistic game it delves into the realm of silly.

Also, there are sometimes silly weapons. Mostly useless ones.

Well, as far as I remember, the last game ended in very silly designs. Like land aircraft carriers and rocket motorbikes and power armour and guns with really silly amount of dakka, and one spaceship.

There is never enough dakka. Atleast, until you need a company of troops to keep it firing. Which, oddly, the germans came close to achieving with their MG 42 and the like.

The land aircraft carrier, powered armor, and spaceship where less silly and more of magic.

I never claimed it was enough dakka. I only claimed it was silly amount of dakka.

That armor wasn't powered, they just got the strongest guys in their regiment to put on 80 pounds of manganese steel plate. Unlike weak Arstotzkans, there are Moskurgers who can actually carry heavy combat gear.

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.

I think one of the "personal" designs we had in the end was actual power armour, not sure who made it, though.

Referring to the Time Bomb, the massive creatures I listed, or both?

Mostly the time bomb. The creatures are more of someone fucking about with genetics. Atleast until you get to the bigger ones, whereapon it starts getting magic.

I never claimed it was enough dakka. I only claimed it was silly amount of dakka.
The only time dakka is silly is when there is toomuch of it.

A bit confusing, innit? Lets put it this way: Not all silly is magic, while not all magic is silly. Most are the other, but there are exceptions.
Mostly when the magic is science.
