I don't think you can do that with children. If it was an adult, you could assign it to the military then painstakingly assign them XX clothing to wear, thereby solving multiple problems at the same time. But with children?

Not really. You need to kill them another way if you want to keep the clothes.

One time I dropped that many children enough levels down to be able to collect their stuff. Didn't turn out a great idea afterwards, as the parents become mad.

Yeah, I was considering designing a arena room for them actually. See, we have a giant newt forgotton beast hanging out in one of our abandoned, sealed off residential areas. This is a reclaim fort and we discovered him hanging out. So while he's sealed off, I wanted to dig out a isolated arena and see if a child army could destroy it.

You can't dump owned objects, and that includes clothing, even that of children.

Actually I'd like to propose a more humane solution - stuff them into a training spear danger room so that they get their chance to survive and be useful (after they spent 11 years in a danger room they're gonna be pretty tough ain't they!)

who says they need to be given booze?

the dwarfyist dwarfs can make booze in their beards from their own sweat and foot fungus while under constant attack by spears for 10 years without sleep
