Oh, so that's how the pack works. Thanks for the clarifications.

As for this four hour period, here are my thoughts on what to do:
-Arron and Gaylord should work on maintaining the vehicles.
-All the player characters should scout the village. I don't think they have the skills to do anything useful at camp other than guarding or roleplaying camp duties.

You're right, I'll come along so all the PCs are in one place!

In other news, the rules for diseases are sorta insane, soone can seem to agree as to what a billed watchcap is called (the label says its a cap, knit, watch, the tag called it a jeep cap and elsewhere its called a radar cap), military style flashlights make me oddly happy, and ammo boxes, even when empty, are heavy as balls. Also: Czech canteens are weird looking, as are their coat liners.

Incidentally, In gonna let youguys "talk" with your flashlights. Because I am assuming that everyone got one of the fancy things that have colored lenses and a button for signaling. There will be tests. Namely education ones.

Rather than mucking about with fake bird calls, infra red flash light's and Morse code, let just use radios?

A little noise you only have to wispier.
I thought that by coloured lenses you meant we have infra-red passing filters for our flash lights.
but then again we only have 2 sets of IR Goggles.

I wish someone else was doing the observation rolls. I suspect Wallace is failing all his rolls.  :P

Anyone up for language skills?
Is language roll for understanding Polish? If so, how would you roll for that?

Roll to attempt to understand it. For non-language group speakers its impossible, for those within the same group its a formidable task with a goal of the adverage of the two speaker's language skills. Its a difficult task for the same language.

Interestingly, they dont list difficulty for speaking between two languages in the same family, which makes me think that they never intended that sorta thing to happen. Since you guys left the one dude who has the same language group as polish say behind, well...

As a compilation of what you guys know of the area:

To the south west, roughly an hours walk away, is your camp in the woods. Infront of your guys is a bunch of fields. There is a roughly L shaped wall, running north-east and turning to the south-east. You can see a flag to the north west.

I need to draw this... Dang.

Flicking thou the heavy weapons hand book i now wish that i'd found a copy before i finished buying stuff.

There so many bits of light artillery we could of brought for just a few thousand, heck 122m rockets don't need a launcher and there only a few hundred each...

Any way what are the rules about hiding items.

There arent any that I can find. Probably in one of the expansions.

Speaking of, they wrote rules for sailboats on the ocean and for airships. Now, to get at those rules...

The appropriately named heavy weapons guide and the Nautical Aviation Vehicles Handbook are the ones your after.

There's boat combat rules in Mediterranean Cruise that updates of the earlier riverine
combat rules presented in Pirates of the Vistula.
But the main boat combat rules for big battle ships and the like are in GDW's other game Harpoon.
As for where to get them Drive Thru Rpg
Or you can try your luck on the bay it won't take long to find a copy.

In short i have too many Languages and too little skill.

I picked Language as Background Skill so getting 2 points, now i should of read that on page 22
"All European players receive double levels in all Germanic, Romance, and Balto-
Slavic languages.
For example, suppose that a European player receives a language skill level. If he takes it as Dutch (a Germanic language) he receives two skill levels in Dutch, while if he takes it as Korean he receives only one. "
That would give me 4 skill points in one language.
But i missed that and miss read Language as languages when i came to pick Cascade Skills, hence one in English and one in German.

The best way to fix it is for me to raise my English skill to 4, and  forget any German i might of ever known.
