Quote
Once war breaks out, the character has one term underfire. All regulars get one automatic promotion and roll again for another at the end of the term. Reservists and draftees just roll. All characters get their normal skills for a subsequent term.
Regulars and recalled reservists get twice the normal number of skills allowed by their military career—these are chosen from the subsequent term skill list. They are not allowed a second activity during this final term.
Regulars get:
-Automatic promotion
-x2 sub skills
-No 2nd activity
The war term is the last term (1996-2000); your character is 4 years older now.

I'm kind of lost regarding how to spend my "Equipment Purchase Allowance". It feels like too much. Should I just not spend all of it or am I underestimating the difficulty of the campaign?
Thank you! I'll make the changes later tonight! (Actually going to, this time!)
You're welcome!

You could be a German officer, but you wouldn't be the CO then. Gotta be an US army officer for that.

Strawbarrel, yer underestimating the difficulty. Also, remember you can bring along 10% in cash. However, you guys haven't gotten your vehicle(s?) yet, so that may give some ideas.

Spoiler: short form (click to show/hide)

I haven't picked any gear yet, i what to talk about what we are going to do, i have so much money that i could buy a big weapon for the team, a heavy machine gun, an rpg and ammo even a mortar or two but i need to have an idea of what kind of transport we are going for because i cant just carry a
I'm thing a par of 3/4-Ton Truck's or we can go Motorcycles for every one.
Or we can go all out and club together for an armoured car, a OT-65 FUG is only $45,000...

A pair of 3/4-Ton Trucks could work. Motorcycles for everyone might not be viable since we currently have 1 character with motorcycle skills. Pooling our money to get an OT-65 FUG is a great idea too. Maybe we should decide what to buy after rolling for transportation? As of now we get a total of 2 animal or vehicle dice (5 Player Characters and maybe 1 NPC Commanding Officer).

We should get at least one Motorcycles for scouting.

Then it case of what do we need multiple of?
Grenades, Dynamite, ammo and food we'll need a lot of space for as we can't be sure of how much we can loot/ scavenge or resupply in the long run.

I'd say we need at lest 3000 rounds per assault rife, 10,000 per MG and probably 50 or a hundred grenades each.
Pistols, shotguns and explosives we'll need less.
Tool wise we'll need a Fuel Still, a Vehicle Tool kit for each type of Vehicle, digging tools, some building tools and of course the tools to keep our guns working.

I'll cost up my own kit, and few weapon options.

You cant buy any vehicles save for- wait, what? You can? Thats weird. Could have sworn that it said you can only buy bikes and motorcycles at the start... Hrumph. frigging rules rewriting themselves when I am not looking, making me look silly...

 Funk, that looks good.

Also, shall I roll up your guys vehicle now, or do you guys want to see if more people will show to give an extra die?

Oh, and remember you can get stuff from that other website, solong as you tell me where it is listed and solong as I dont shoot it down for some arcane reason.

Don't worry about the rules changing the more we spend on transport the less we have to buy guns and supply with.

Roll us up a vehicle and if any one joins later they can have a bike or stash we have to recover.
(a weapon stash is a good plot hook, give us a reason to go places)

Allrighty then. That will still be two die to roll... Both on a single vehicle, correct?

Oh, funk, just realized that you only have a skill level of one in german and english. Talking to everyone may be a bit iffy.
