Having rotten shafts fired at you was not a good thing. Having yourself be pinned to the ground due to rotten shafts was another.

Alain thanked the rest around her, and decided to hobble to the nearest thing she could search, soon. Her momentum was broken by those strange flying shafts.

Go to M4, search the...um, toy elephant-squid on the floor.
Then canto to K5 when the person over there moves.

She sends off two for the hollow's one, and they both end up heavily wounded. Rosalia, however has assistance in the form of healing:

The arrow in her flesh was pushed out to clatter against the wooden floorboards.

People moved, and Alain rummaged in the pockets of the half-mummified corpse in the corner.
She finds a heavy iron key, rough and weak with corrosion. Hopefully it wouldn't snap in the lock...

Again, the hollow moves back from the immediate threat, and sends an arrow at Ariston.
