"Hahaha! You're a funny man Captain. I've never stepped foot in a brothel. No, no. That particular innuendo is common amongst the population. I never had a shortage of women to choose from. Heh, no respectable person must use a brothel. Why, I'm sure that even you wouldn't stoop so low."

[SOLDIER First]

"You'd be surprised at the type of person to use such a solace..."

[Nerjin]

There was a brief moment followed by a sigh.

"I suppose everyone has made mistakes. In all seriousness Captain, brothels are foul places."

[SOLDIER First]

"Perhaps the ones you visited, sure."

[Nerjin]

"My congregation held many ex-prostitutes Captain. Their lives were vile and joyless. Perhaps it was better in Mir. I would not know for I have never been to that crumbling ruin. I offered solace and joy to those whose lives had become unbearable. Soldiers like you wanted to take that away," Sacha's voice rose "military morons whose only desire was that the women in that hell attend to their every whim. Selling their body and their souls simply to exist."

An angry huff

"I hope for your sake, Captain, that the brothels were better, that the soldiers were better, that YOU were better..."

Another huff.

"I may not like you, Captain, but you seem a better man than that. Far better than any military man I've ever encountered."

[SOLDIER First]

Damon is taken aback by Sacha's vehemence. He chooses his words carefully as he speaks.

"Things were... different in Mir, when it was still around. The women were not forced into anything, as far as I am aware. They chose who... chose their own partners. I did not realize this subjects was so important to you, miss. My apologies."

[Nerjin]

"No indentured servitude then."

Sacha paused for several moments.

"I accept your apology Captain. The simple fact you do not force yourself onto unwilling women makes you the best military man I've met thus far."

[SOLDIER First]

He nods solemnly.

"I would be horrified to meet any of them, miss Sacha."

Typhos had been quiet for far too long during his friends conversation, barely moving, staring at the ground. When he looked up, it was as a man waking from a sudden nightmare. He was human enough that there was still a well hidden fear in his eyes. Something had changed.

He moved forward regardless, blade drawn, unusually eager to face his foes. Hoping his friends wouldn't see...the first twinge of despair.

Alain had enough time to do a comical take at the enemy, then at the floor, then at the enemy, before slowly (but reasonably) moving back and being grumpy at them for their actions.

Quickly working out how good whispering was between allies, Alain nudged the awesome Captain-Commander next to her.

"I think we should regroup back. They don't seem to go over their own trap. Let's go back a few and meet with the others at the other side."
