"What is this I hear?" Sacha says as she returns the wave "Talk of the devils that head our world? I wouldn't concern yourself with finding answers here. Gods be they or demons they seek only our misery. How else does one explain this vile curse? If one seeks spiritual enlightenment I offer only this: Damn the gods as they have damned us. The only relief from this curse is the extinction of its source." Sacha's voice swiftly increased in tempo until she seemed near mad at the end of her tirade.

After a few breaths she continued "But I must say I had half expected this to simply be the ruins of some ancient kingdom whose importance had been overstated in the legends until it became the very dwelling of the gods we seek. You are, far and away, a wise scholar and I offer you my sincerest thanks."

It takes a while, but Alain and Damon return to the others. Damon slots a key in the door and turns, leaving it there. As the gate rumbles open, the undead within turn to look.

As it opens, Ariston is first through, swinging his axe at the nearest undead.

Behind it, the tower seems to stretch into a long, dark corridor, much larger than the tower itself to possibly hold.
