Alain looked at her inventory (which was more 'just looking at herself for any better ways to carry things without impeding anything') and huffed, before walking over next to Yilda.

"Yilda~ Would you mind if I asked if I could borrow one of your swords? You could take these knives I carry with me, as I have this crossbow! There's...not much room for anything but there IS one thing up there (past those trees) that requires attention. And consecration. I've too much stuff here to try and do it myself, is all. Also did anyone see a path forward? These islands are a bit strange by themselves."

"As for the way forward, I assume that the captain found some manner of mechanism that extended a bridge from the area. There may be another like it."

"Not as strange as whats to come, surely. I'm interested to see if there is anything of value on these things, before we move on...I used to fish in the canals of my home-it was pleasant diversion from the labors of my art...I wonder if there ARE any fish left in these waters..." Iris mused.

Also check the hollow fishermen for a rod. Time to unlock the fishing mini-game!

Ariston strides over to the fire. It ignites beneath his palm as he reaches toward the sword projecting out of the bone pile, and that heavenly warmth begins to seep into his bones. However, this time... as he extends his second hand towards the heat the fire flares. A human figure seems to coalesce out of the embers.

"Ah... beloved warriors. There is something thee shouldst know, battling against the True King, Ketari. A True King cannot abdicate their throne - it must be taken in battle, but the soul thy shall claim canst be attuned only by I. Give it to none, but keep it close."

Alas, Alain is too slow - as she haggles with Yilda to exchange a sword for something, Iris has already gone past her and rummaged through the moldering pockets of the corpse. Sun-bleached bones, still decorated with mummified flesh, shift under her hand as she searches the body.

Ah, but what is this? Beneath the body is a tiny glass bottle, filled full of a thick, sanguine liquid. It sloshes around, even as she holds the bottle still, as if the liquid is restless.

Iris obtain's Warriors's Tincture.
