Grab the quicksilver, the crystals and the geode. Also try to grab the spellbook and the scrolls if I can. Then get back to the alchemist, carry the book and scrolls above my head to make sure they don't get absorbed when walking through the sludge.

Meanwhile, the Shrine is visited by a squad of three armed men, who knock politely, and stick there heads in, taking in the odd sight of the dwarf, the wizard, the little priest, and the mangled homunculus. Their eyes widen in surprise and their hands go toward their weapons.

Ebony, who had been looking at the scrolls intently, starts at the weapon thing. She immediately recomposes herself."Yes? What is it?"

It's been a rough couple of weeks here, what with that spill and all. I mean, the alchemist seems usually harmless, if not sometimes mildly useful ... but this is out of hand. And now, with these reports of monsters ... Do you think they really are all with Omega?

Not that that's necessarily a good thing. I've heard rumors. Why didn't they send a controller with them? We're not equipped to handle convicts, not even the normal kind.

"Oh!" One of them squeaks. "O-omega? Could you come with us, please? the our village head wants a word." he looks around a bit, then swallows. "Is .. are you all there is? I thought there were more?"
