"Shall we get on with the roundup? Where are the others, anyway? What shenanigans have I missed, mage-friend?"

Questions! Possibly followed by roundup.

Cho-Ja

Give in to the timeskip.

Conveniently awaken near the knights ass courtyard.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

the Dwarf Innkeeper gives Jack, Fiddler, and the Eye directions to his Inn, and he and the Watch leave, apparently indifferent to an already extinguished fire and the sickly sweet smell of burnt flesh. Of course, the owner of this inn is a little more put out about it all, and you leave before they return with reinforcements of their own. Of course, this means you have to find a place to sleep yourselves in a town that is not very welcoming. You each settle into someplace relatively out of the elements and sleep fitfully, except the Eye, which doesn't sleep.

Next day, near noon, you head to the Knight's Ass as a group, hung over and hungry. People out on the streets tend to give Cho -Ja a wide berth, and generally avoid the rest of you as you travel with him. the courtyard of the Knights Ass is about twenty feet to a side, flanked on two sides by wings of the Inn, on the third side by a stable which must have once housed horses, but now is home to  broken furniture, rubbish, a couple pigs, a family of chickens, and a hobo or a corpse or something. the fourth side of the courtyard has a rundown wall that looks like it hasn't been maintained in decades. it is about ten feet high and thick enough to still be sturdy, though there are at least two holes that a small enough burglar could wedge themselves through, if the gate weren't broken and wide open.

there are a few inn employees clearing the courtyard of rubbish, nailing boards over the biggest gaps, and putting out barricades around the door to the inn. One guy is on a rickety ladder, nailing wall sconces to the inn walls about fifteen feet up, and placing torches in them. The innkeeper comes to and greets you. "this is where you'll set up. Your goal is to keep the crowds from crushing their way into the inn" he gestures at the barricade, "and keep them from smashing in windows or  burning anything down. it won't get rowdy until sunset, but be here two hours before that, ready to do your job.

Start surveiling.  Record a map of, say, about 2 blocks or so, if there's capacity.

Dar'yajira, magic cat

How many hours will it be until sundown?  We're supposed to be ready two hours before, but how long do we have to prepare before then?

Actual action: Dar'yajira will go sniff the something which is either a hobo or corpse, in the stable.  Regardless of which it is, he uses magic to enhance his strength and then drags the body out into the open.

Start surveiling.  Record a map of, say, about 2 blocks or so, if there's capacity.

"Query:It is likely that there will be issues?"

You make your map, and note the various activities of people on the ground. Seems mundane enough, though festival preparations are evident here and there. Including hte boarding up of windows, gathering of foodstuffs, loud reprimands of children found outside instead of safely tucked away in their homes, sharpening of weapons. You know, the usual.

the innkeeper stares at you for fifteen seconds when you ask this question. "About as likely as sunset, death, and taxes."

Dar'yajira, magic cat

Sundown will be around, oh, 7 pm. So you have five hours to prepare. or to wander off and faff about. The events of this round take roughly two hours of that, except your stuff, which takes just a few minutes. i'll leave the quantum state unkown as to how much your stuff affects the overall success of everyone else's.

You go to check the corpse and wonder briefly why no one smells the nasty thing. it's rotten, swollen, and only about half of whatever it used to be is present. Seriously, why would anyone leave something like that laying around in their stable? It's been there at least a few days. You disturb some rats feasting on it, and the squadron of them all look up in your direction hissing. this disconcerting scene causes you to lose concentration on strengthening yourself. you feel magic seep away, spent uselessly. ((snake eyes. nice))

Cho-Ja

Assist in making any weak points in the wall unnapealing to intruders.
you begin gathering wood and placing it near the people nailing it to gaps, holding boards for people to hammer on, and generally act in a useful manner. the workers hesitate a lot when you come by, but a few well timed shouts from teh innkeeper and well placed kicks in the ass get them on track again.

Motivate Cho-Ja with my beautiful fiddling and helpful remarks.
You pull out your fiddle, demand a stool, receive one almost instantly, and sit to play. A few minutes of tuning, and your fiddle is in top form. You sing some work songs, and some songs about murder and corpses. Cho seems energized and you make a few coin in the process.

Cho-Ja

find a nice metal bucket and spit some pain inducing venom into it, some nice 15/10 on the pain scale poison.
Then store it in a nice dark cool corner of the inn so it doesnt spoil before the festival.

then repeat until im certain i have at least two buckets containing venom rating at least a twelve.

Dar'yajira hisses at the rotten meat as he recoils from it.  "Dar'yajira is always surprised by the filthy, lazy twolegs.  Kill is not to be left where it will rot!"

Use the two hour discrepancy I have with the rest of the team to explore the interior of the tavern.  Are there any other entrances we should be worried about defending?

After that, slink off to a nearby alleyway and use magic to make myself appear terrifying.  If the spell succeeds, leap out in front of an unarmed peasant and hiss at them.  Observe their reaction.

your acid spit reacts violently with the metal bucket, causing a thick, toxic, green cloud to boil up out after the first mouthful.

"Riots, vandalism, fights, rape, looting. You know, normal festival idiocy. A corpse? Ugh. I'm going to beat that stable boy near to death. I've told him three times to get that filthy thing out to the refuse carts! Boy! Boy! Where is that lazy, usless pustule on the ass cheek of a troll!?"

There's a smaller entrance to the back, presumably where they bring the food and stuff in to the kitchen. It is being secured by one of the inn staff. the windows in the rooms on the first floor are small and barred, though not all the bars seem perfectly secure. the second floor is likewise ramshackle. One wing of the upstairs is closed entirely - the door to it is boarded up. the other floor has rooms with missing doors, windows that won't close, and in one room, the floor sags ominously in the middle. The "woman" you see sitting in there looks back at you with dead eyes before turning away to stare blankly at the wall.
