It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

"No, the soldiers. The thugs are just thugs. Anyway, watch your back is what I'm saying." After a few minutes, you and the dwarf arrive at a rather seedy looking buildiung with a sign that proclaims it to be the home of the "Eyeball stabbers" or something like that. The dwarf opens the door without a knock and start's to step in, when he is greeted by a rather large, rather scarred man coming the other way. "Oh, you're here. We were just coming to meet you." "Well whatever, here's the munchkin. Lead on, Omega." And with that, seven more armed persons, mostly of human-troll stock, from the look of them, along with one dwarf missing a hand and an eye, with a long, scraggly white beard that grew out of only one side of his face, carrying quite a large two bladed ax, all come out of the building, pulling hoods over their heads to ward off the rain. You turn to lead them off, and realize that you are not entirely sure where you are going.

Dar'yajira, magic cat

Lick paws while continuing to watch bar from vantage point.

Tastes like mud. the bug man is whistling oddly as he wanders off, like only someone who breathes through spiracles can whistle.

Carry out instructions.

>direct all claims of damages to the Lower Dobbiton Innkeepers' Guild. Avoid retaliatory responses.

You wander off down an alley, rooting in trash, wheezing and accosting passersby. Your search turns up an old boot. A beggar, possibly drunker than you are, starts to follow you around, asking for a few coin and rambling on about whatever crosses his mind.

Lead on! Let conscience be my guide! Surely inspiration will strike me before these fellows feel the need to.

How unfortunate for them. Direct all inquiries from them to Her Majesty's Service.

The smell of smoke draws you back toward your team more surely than your memory does. It is getting quite late at night, and the kinds of people out on the streets in this weather are the last kind most people want to encounter at night, in the rain, in an unfamiliar back alley full of trash. Fortunately, you met most of them either in Omega, or at the Watch building, so no one accosts you on the way. However, when you enter the inn and introduce Jack to the Watch, one of the Watch lays a rather firm hand on your shoulder, as if he's worried about gravity's grip on you.

Do insects have particularly good senses of smell? Do drunk insects? In any case, you throw the boot and fall into the trash heap it came from. You re reasonably confident that smell is NOT your teammates.

So, right now, we have the Cat watching the inn, the bug passed out in the street, the Fire mage sitting quietly in the bar of the inn, the Orb watching from outside, a dead Pictsie, now disposed of, several wasps which seem to have wandered away, or got stuck banging against the back door of the inn, while the Munchkin brings the Watch. That about right? So those of you who are alert see Fiddler and the Watch stroll into the coutyard and into the building. Fiddler points out whichever of his team he can see as he goes, and introduces the Watch to Jack. the Dwarven Innkeeper (from the other inn) asks Jack why Omega is in town, and where the rest of your team are, and why this Inn smells like smoke.

((we can wrap this one up pretty quickly if you like. Or you can stick around for shenanigans. Your choice.))

Jack looks up at the newcomers. "Oh, I take it you're somewhat in charge around here? Good. We've been sent here to provide security for some festival or other. The rest of the team is somewhere around here, I believe the munchkin and that floating eyeball thing can find them if you need to see them. As for the smoke smell, there apparently was a scuffle with a few patrons that knocked a lantern over, setting part of the inn on fire. I was forced to punt the fire through the roof to snuff it out. Name's Jack Spark by the way, Journeyman fire mage. If you need me to light a few drunks on fire briefly to get their attention, just show me where to set up."

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Dar'yajira, magic cat

Continue watching.  Attempt to rrst my head in such a way that my collar isn't very visible.

((I'd be fine with just wrapping this mission up now.  I don't have much to do.  Will we be getting a levelup for this?  If not, I think I might change characters.))

((looks like "keep going" wins. You will be getting level ups, yes. Sorry syv, this was a "bar fight security" mission, so it didn't exactly focus on the strengths of small sentient animals. Or pictsies. or munchkins. or wasps.))

Jack looks up at the newcomers. "Oh, I take it you're somewhat in charge around here? Good. We've been sent here to provide security for some festival or other. The dwarf listens quietly, jumping a little when the floating eye comes in. When you mention setting people on fire, his attention focuses sharply on you, and a cold smile touches his face for a moment before vanishing. "I might have use for you after all." He says. "Alright, round up your people and meet me at the Knight's Ass, tomorrow at noon. I'll have you do courtyard duty. If you can keep the crowds there from causing serious damage to my inn, we might be able to overlook these ... minor inconveniences. And ... a paying job might come your way, as it were."

The Eye floats in.
"Greetings."

The dwarf innkeeper (not the bartender, the new guy) jumps a little at your presence, then ignores you. One of the watch members swivels his spear in your direction.

((if you are dissatisfied with your character, pm me what you are thinking. I can throw you and the guys on base into a quick level-up mission to get you 'caught up'. I like cat characters myself though...))

You do this and go unnoticed. looks like those inside are unharmed, though the Watch seems to be paying close attention. You hear Cho-Ja attempting to climb out of the filth and yelling about midgets and mongrels.

anyone wanna help the drunk bug out here? Or just gonna let him sleep it off in the garbage?

Be prepared for horrible betrayal. Watch for knifes in backs. Be ready to DODGE.
You go on alert. Perhaps a round late, what wit hthe big meaty hand on your shoulder, rooting you to the ground like a shrub. Too bad you aren't wearing that horrible poncho - you'd be able to slip outta that in a blink.
